I suppose if there was something quite expensive -- and needed -- I would take advantage of saving hundreds or thousands of dollars. Happily, that's not the case, so...I've saved *everything*.

We went to Target this afternoon. My DS got a gift card so he wanted to go there. He got a pair of jeans and we got some 30% off Christmas candy and cookies. Everything was pretty picked over and not much left. Also it looked like a tornado went through the Christmas area. I guess if you really wanted something, you would have had to get there first thing this morning.

I'm happy to say I went nowhere today. Didn't even put shoes on!

I went looking for some of those new star shower lights. But didn't find any. Meijer will get them in next year they said and they will order lots more than this year as they went fast.

I saw a whole bunch of the shower lights at Lowes for half off a couple of days ago. They had at least 30. Check there! I am waiting until things are 75% off. I watch the forgotten unmarked stuff.

No...today was my Christmas with my kids/grandkids. I would have not gone to the stores today on a bet!

I stayed in my pj's all day. Did nothing but crochet and play on the internet.

Not really, unless you count the pair of Macy's Deal of the Day boots I ordered online.

Spent all day cleaning up from a large family dinner held on Christmas.

Haven't been out of my jammies since Christmas Eve!

My father, brother and I went Christmas card shopping. My brother bought enough cards for the next 5 years; my father bought enough for next year (he says he is an optimist, since he will be 94 next year, but he's also a realist, so he didn't buy enough for additional years); I won't say how many I bought...but I hope to be around for a lot of years and make a lot of new friends!

I have been told that those star shower lights were a big seller and sold out in most places. I was out and about after dark on Christmas Eve and Christmas day, but did not see one house lit up with one. I was anxious to see how they actually look. I'll have to go out to view more decorated houses before the lights all taken down.

Yes I did, online. I use artificial trees. I wanted to get one for my dining room and I needed to replace my "wedding tree."

13 years ago, a week before Christmas, my husband and I were married in my parents living room in front of their tree. My mom made and purchased ornaments in blue, white and silver (our wedding colors) and covered the tree with them. After the wedding, she packed up all the ornaments and gave them to me along with the Christmas tree I had grown up with that her and my dad bought when they were newly married in the 70s. (Not the one we were married in front of, that was a new tree for her and she packed up the old one)

Every year, this tree gets put up in our bedroom and every year, the poor thing just looks worse and worse.

So, I finally bit the bullet and decided I needed to replace the tree for our room, it will still be just as beautiful with our wedding ornaments but a new one won't have branches falling off!!

Last night I was taking a bath and browzing on my tablet when I noticed a website already had their Christmas stuff for sale. So, instead of going to stores and scouring through the leftovers to find a tree, I checked out several sites and bought 2 new artificial trees for less than 100 dollars.

They should be delivered in 10 days or so. It will be hard for me to throw away the old tree but it is REALLY time for the 40 year old one to go to the dumpster.

I went to Amazon and checked a few prices on things i'd considered. I was really getting disgusted this year on how Amazon sellers were jacking up their prices as Xmas neared, they were being pulled off Prime etc. I noticed the prices took a huge drop this morning and most are Prime again. Their loss. They can go pound sand. I went to Toys R Us and found a far better quality item for the same $$s. In retrospect it was a good thing I didn't buy the original item.

I did go ahead and buy my favorite blush that is discontinued. I bought 3 and they were add on items so I pulled a few items form my watch list to make it 25.00 plus. Bough another Kong Squeeze Crackle stick dog toy for the pup.

I wait for 75% off. I don't consider the 30% at Target a bargain at all. It's more like a sale price, not a clearance price.

No...I slept till past noon. A winter storm is moving in. No desire to get out in the cold wet mess.

About those shower of lights gizmos, we went light looking on Christmas Eve and I have to say those lights are not very impressive. Unless you happen to live on a really dark lot without any street lights near, you really cannot even see them. Only one house that had them looked really neat, they had no other lights on at all, just the shower of lights. They were using several of them. It's not nearly as bright as they show on their commercial. We saw a lot of homes using them too so I think I can give a fair assessment of them. So if you plan to use them, make sure your house is very dark, do not use any other Christmas lights with them...the more light, the less you can see them. They are kind of cute, but compared to a decorated home, they are not very impressive. Maybe they will come up with a "new and improved" version for next year? They need to be a LOT brighter.

OH and NO I didn't go shopping.

I think Cheryl bought some wrapping paper, Christmas cards and a few stocking stuffers for next year or maybe for this year as we have not had our Christmas yet. It was not busy in our little town, not like at a mall.

No, I didn't shop at all this season. I sent my hubby. lol except yesterday, He said to me I don't know how you did it all those years. Thank you. lol I did give him a list though.

Later: I ordered a coat from Amazon. It's cold in CA. Someone stole our heat.

I shopped online. Yesterday I put a really cool table runner (50% off!) in my virtual cart at Pier One and then got distracted. Today I got back online, put a few more things in my cart and went to checkout. Guess what? The table runner was sold out! Somebody apparently snitched it right out of my cart overnight. Dadgum it!

I'm at Home Depot "every day". I had a $5 off/$50 and $10 off/$100 coupon.....used them both!

I got a decorative sled at Home Goods for 50% off. It's propped up at the front door for now, but next year, I plan to decorated it with garland and lights.

Xmas décor was 75% off, so I bought several things for me and also gifts for next xmas.

Car snoozed in the garage.

I purchased a lovely bedding set at Kohls online. I used the 15% discount coupon and my Kohls cash.

Just finished up ordering two new dresses, some casual shoes, dog boots and a digital cooking thermometer--the dresses 30% off plus 3% ebates. Now maybe they will fit.

I found some good deals on Christmas items and a few clothes.

we needed to make a pill run, and I always go thru stuff at target, but we had the craziest weather today...ice snow/ice finally rain...poor Detroit...will go "today" as the weather stops around 2-3am....
