Merry Christmas or Happy Holidays!

Wanted to wish all the wonderful people on this forum the best of holidays. Had to come on to find my Irish Cream Fudge recipe (lost my copy). We are not having or going to a gathering this year due to my DH's condition. He's too weak. However, we do have our tree up and his brother is going to stop by for a short while. I am going to make a couple of very simple nibbles, though. We're hoping to take off in a week or two to a warmer climate for DH. I can drive the motorhome and it will make him happy. The doctors couldn't even guarantee he'd make it to Christmas. Fooled them, aha. Next goal is to make it to our 43d anniversary on the 29th, then on to Florida or wherever. I'm hoping everyone's holidays are safe and the best yet.

Madonna, Merry Christmas to you and your DH, and a very happy anniversary. You have been and continue to be in my prayers, I do hope your husband proves them all wrong and makes it south to warm weather. Meanwhile, I hope you are enjoying the Christmas tree and some nibbles and visits with family.

For everyone here, as Carol/Dishesdone used to tell me: "Happy Everything to Everyone". I hope your holidays were all you wished for and your New Year is peaceful and prosperous.

"Over?" That depends, Mike. Philosophically, one can say Christmas isn't over until one allows it to be. For those of a Catholic persuasion, Christmas does not end until Epiphany. Merry Christmas to you all! We had a warm Christmas here as well. My family members were able to gather outdoors even! This was such a nice relief since I had almost 30 guests over for dinner last night and every inch of my house was packed! Today it is 50F/10C here and should climb to 63F/17C, however all the warm days are coming to an end. Looks like flash flooding will begin today and the temps will begin to drop and old mother winter will be rearing her head finally, freezing and below freezing temps next week. I had to check in to wish everyone here a Merry Christmas while the rest of the household are still sleeping and I have a moment for a cup of tea before it's "all hands on deck". I was somewhat surprised and grateful how many recipes I've gotten here that I used this year, and wanted to thank everyone who so generously share their wealth of recipes and interest in cooking.
