Post Here When You Send or Receive Your Secret Santa Gift
Comments (150)From e-mails and posts, it sounds like Secret Santa has a great many presents in transit. Yahoo! Keep posting when you receive yours! :o) Being the head Secret Santa, it seems like it's the North Pole here!!!! We've had freezing temperatures. (One night this week it got down to minus 15 degrees here. BRRRRR!) Then, a MAJOR snow storm hit us. We have 3 feet of snow on our deck now...most of which came non-stop yesterday and last night! I just spent 3 hours plowing us out, and IT'S STILL SNOWING! It's so pretty though out here in the woods. All of the schools have been cancelled so I have the day off from teaching. It's a bummer though as we had to cancel our Christmas concert last night, and our class party is tomorrow, the last day before break. Many roads have been shut down as well. IT'S THE NORTH POLE! Ho Ho Ho! I'll attach a picture looking out our deck doors just now. I'll also attach a link to the deep snow we got in January (for those of you who didn't see my post back then) which kept us out of school for a week! Bear Hugs! Comments (32)Well -- I imagine that they had an interesting Christmas gift-opening session (wonder if anyone else was there)! LOL! Reminds me of the time my boyfriend's mother (now my mother in law) gave me a fertility doll for Xmas. Opened the present in front of some of his relatives who were meeting me for the first time that day. AWK-WARD. (MIL didn't do it to be provocative; she bought it during a trip to Morocco because she thought it was interesting. Yeah boy.)...See MoreOrchid.

Comments (25)Dilly beans are on the shelf. Last year I made some sweet relish, I'll pass on it this year. This evening, I will make some peach preserves. I have a Reliance peach tree in back and I have dozens of peaches. The missus doesn't care for peaches, so I have been eating 4-6 every day and I cannot keep up. Some have fallen and the ants are feasting. I also have a critter, I believe a squirrel from a block away (no trees big enough on my street, we're a new one) that has taken a few bites of the peach and then left. Yesterday, I saw a peach across the yard. The only way it could have gotten there is being carried. Today, it was gone. The branches on my tree are sagging with the weight of the peaches and one actually broke. Nothing bigger than a squirrel would be able to do the nipping and carrying....See More- 10 years ago
