There seems little use in even trying to speculate who was right and who was wrong; like so many things in life it probably falls into that vast gray area. All I know is that we are all losers when someone who is passionate and knowledgeable about roses leaves this forum, whoever that may be. I've sometimes had the sinking feeling that I have given offense with remarks I've made, or given advice when I had no business doing so or made a statement that was misinterpreted or erroneous. I had to forgive myself and hope that others would forgive me because I so much wanted to remain a part of this wonderful rose community. If one person gives offense, knowingly or unknowingly, is that really a good enough reason to forsake the forum and the rest of us? I sincerely hope not. Ingrid

Congratulations on your retirement! Never thought to bring in some beautyberry for an arrangement...but I will now. It's such a lovely plant. Looks like you are quite the gardener. That for sure will keep you busy. I just got back from up north and my place looked like a jungle. Been busy getting it back in shape and sharing a lot of plants and clippings. Enjoy each and every wonderous day!

I play games daily & prefer puzzles, word games & hidden object adventure games. Lately, it's mostly word games and solitaire. But I don't feel guilty, so does it still count? I play Wordscraper on FB - a Scrabble clone that allows fantastically high scores, but only works on my desktop, and WordBrain, among other things, on my phone. And lately, I've been reading everything I can find by Diana Wynne Jones that I haven't already read - mostly YA/Youth. Luckily, she was very prolific! It's total escapism into well crafted fantasy and there's always a happy ending. I also read 'How I Live Now' in 1 night after watching the movie. I was a bit surprised by how very different from each other the book and the film were, but both are very good. Something about books & stories for and about young people that provide a feeling of hopefulness... P.S. If you want a game that's not a word game, try World Of Goo. It's quite unique and really stretches your mind.

Maryl - Morning Pleasure is by Charles Douglas. Heidi Douglas is the hybridizer of A Groovy Kind of Love and Night King. Kate and Maryl - Dearest Valentine has always rebloomed here, but I do water it a couple of times a week. It usually has several instant rebloom scapes, and sometimes more scapes later in the season. I did notice that two double fans that I lined out haven't rebloomed yet. Yours may rebloom later, if you get some good rain in the coming weeks. Mantis and Kate - The seedling does have richer color than Morning Pleasure, and it's a larger flower. Debra
