Windshield wiper repair

Before I have my car inspected by the end on this month I need to take care of the following:

1) Need to install my 2 oil sensors. I intend to do this myself.

2) Need to get a new exhaust system installed (mid pipe, resonator and
muffler--hopefully with a cool tail pipe that is not too low to the
ground). I'm still shopping online and really appreciate the suggestions
I've gotten on this thread so far.

3) Need to have my windshield wipers repaired. Recently, only the high
speed function works without a problem. The moderate speed and the
delayed speed only work sporadically. I know by talking to
GermanAutoParts.com that I can order from them new windshield motors.
But I also remember many years ago, when I had just bought my Jetta,
getting the windshield wiper motor repaired and I did not have to order a
new motor. I'm hoping I can still do the same. Am I correct? Also, is
it a big job to repair the wiper motor? Just want to know before I
approach a mechanic.

As always, your feedback will be highly appreciated. If truth be told,
this is the only way I've been able to hang onto my MK2 Jetta this long.

God bless you all.
