Mexican VIVA detergent, anyone use it??
Comments (9)Never had a chance to try Viva but I am using Roma in my LG fl and Ariel. I alternate in between, plus I have a mix of other detergents that I use too. Roma gives me the same results as Persil in hot water.Needs one extra rinsing. It produces very little suds. Ariel suds up more and needs lots to rinse out but all detergents wash well and don't cause me any trouble.I have a very hard water so maybe that could be a reason for not too many suds. Persil is by far the best. It rinses very well but as I said, Roma is great alternative. I wash everything in 145 and up and I have great results w/mexican detergents. Now I'm experimenting w/the new pump Method HE. It seems to work very well so far. All detergents have strong scent but after the laundry is done it smells like new cloth. I am using extra rinses thou on everything and in my dryer I have the softener bar which is working great for me....See MoreAriel, FOCA, Roma and other Mexican detergents
Comments (5)We switched over to FOCA in our top loader a few months ago. It suds up quite a bit, but the rinse water is clean so it rinses out well. I have also used it in a FL machine with a reduced dose and with an extra rinse the rinse is clean as well. We had some items that had stains in them like some cotton curtains and some old white countertop appliance covers. We washed them using Persil and some stains would never come out. We used FOCA and they look like new. We love the scent of FOCA, very minimal and smells just clean, not like some fruit punch bowl. I feel this is how laundry is susposed to smell. We find it at Walmart for $3.22(USD) for a bag that lasts us about 5 months. You certainly can't complain about the price!...See Moremexican detergents
Comments (13)Well, I've used the Ariel regular. I've tried adding different amounts and it doesn't seem to suds up much at all. In fact, I've also been using Tide He liquid and it suds up alot more. The Ariel seems to be working quite well, the test is the white socks and they came out cleaner than I have seen them in ages. I did add oxygen bleach and borax. I actually put a pair of my son's socks to soak in some Ariel and went out of town for 10 days, just got back tonight, I had forgotten all about them. Well when I finally noticed them, they had practically cleaned themselves, there was a pool of dirt at the bottom of the bucket, of course they still needed to be washed though. The only thing was even after a wash in the machine, there was a slight bluish tinge (the color of the detergent)thats noticeable against the other whites. I wonder why they add color to detergent....See MoreMexican Ariel
Comments (20)Cedric.....I'd pass on the Viva,Roma, Blanca Nieves as they are very sudsy and none have phosphates anymore. The Foca is a very nice detergent but can also be sudsy and again no phosphates anymore. What is the bag of detergent third shelf down far right? I've never used the 123 Notice your Ariel doesnt list phosphates (Sodium TriPolyphosphate) but P&G stopped listing it long ago on Ariel...instead they list *water softener* ya but what water softener lol...some of those ing. Could be phosphates...I'm inclined to think that bag does have phosphates....look over the bag does it say anywhere no fosphatos Sp?? Better think up some fabulous meals to fix for that beautiful wife of yours because once you get a taste so to speak of Ariel with phosphates you will want more. lol its not just the cleaning..the phosphates also help to keep anything from redepositing onto clothing meaning they rinse cleaner leaving softer clothes. As for the Mexican Downy..sniff before you buy..they are all very heavy on scent. Beautiful family you have....See More- 8 years ago
