That sounds yummy too!

I'm one who cannot bear any heat in my food as I'd rather taste the food. However, so many use Jalapenos I have to wonder if I'm not missing out on some great flavor.

Anything with peaches sounds yummy to me. Can anyone tell me how to cautiously approach a Jalapeno so that I might learn to cook with this fellow and perhaps enjoy it? Many thanks. Cheers............Pink

Yum. I'd add a splash of vinegar.

Doesn't sound good to me. I don't like sweetness with ham (like honey) and the addition of spicy heat for ham seems out of place. Great if you enjoyed it, tastes do differ.

Peach and jalapeno jam

I used blue agave nectar on my ham recently and it was omg good, everyone was asking what kind of ham it was a because they wanted one. It was just a Kroger spiral sliced coated with the blue agave.

I would like the sweet but not the heat. :)

There was such a small bite to the jalapeño, you wouldn't have known it was in there. I'm still licking my chops over it.

It sounds delicious to me. I would call the hostess and after thanking her for the wonderful party I would say something like "i have a favorite (whatever) recipe I would love to exchange with you for your jalapeño peach preserve recipe. It was so yummy, I can't stop thinking about it.

P.S. I've been searching all over the web for you but have come up with nothing. If you ever do get the recipe, I would love to try it.

I saw those recipes when I was searching, but the hostess said it was peach preserves, brown sugar, jalapeño and butter. That would mean, to me, she didn't make her own preserves. She just didn't give the proportions.

No, I don't plan on getting some peaches and making it from scratch. But I will stop in and see her and bring her a little thank you gift and see if I can get some measurements from her.

I have never heard of peach pepper jelly but I do have a friend who puts up preserves that she sells at craft fairs and farmer's markets. I buy all my Apricot Habanero and Raspberry Habanero preserves from her. I use them straight, in dips and in any recipe calling for pepper jams.

One of our favorite condiments is apricot/horseradish/mustard sauce, so good on ham biscuits! I absolutely think that the jalapeno combo would be a winner.

Apologies for asking for help using jalapenos and cutting in on the posters theme - got carried away by the thought of yummy peaches. Now comes something with apricots that sounds delicious. Can you share a recipe rhizo?
