SOS for inherited sickly palms.

I have inherited 3 palms that are in varying stages of Ugh. One is downright dismal and it may yet be lost, and the other 2 are struggling. I need help identifying them and then instructions on how to care for each of them!

I have done nothing so far with them except to stick them in a bright, north window and keep them warm. They are in their original pots.

The smallest and sickliest of the bunch (little plant, big green pot) I am thinking is a "majestic palm" that is not looking so majestic?? I was thinking of repotting into a smaller pot for starters . . .

The second one has fronds coming up out of the middle at the top, but the leaves are turning coppery and then eventually turn brown and die as shown by the one held in my hand. It is still trying to grow, but what's coming up is very pale indeed. No idea what this is one is called or how to care for it? It seems to have roots popping up out of the soil.

The third, in the small black ceramic pot I'm pretty sure is an elephant palm or pom-pom? It's taken a beating from a cat from the looks of it. It also has small, hairy roots popping up out of the soil at its base.

I am wondering if all 3 should be repotted into pots more suitably sized and if I should do this right away? And, if so, what type of soil should be used (is there a special "palm soil"? How frequent to water? How much fertilizer if any? What kind of lighting requirements?

I am already guessing they need warmth and humidity....

Your help is greatly appreciated.

Photo's below . . . (hopefully). By the way, I tried to use the forum's upload picture and it wouldn't upload anything and just freeze up, so here are links to photobucket instead.
