I have the Kohler stages which also comes with accessories. You will want either flush(zero) reveal or positive reveal if the accessories are meant to fit in that bevelled space, a negative reveal simply won't allow that. It seems you are already aware of that, but since my templater almost insisted on a negative reveal before I showed him the sink accessories just thought I'd add that. My templater also said that a flush reveal can be a bit more difficult to achieve than a negative reveal depending on the technology used. He used laser measurements, promised me a true flush reveal, then I had to have my super amazing contractor fix it after. It was off by a few mm but enough that my accessories didn't fit. I have soapstone, so it was an easy enough fix, but still irritating. That was one of many many many issues I had with my fabricator and I'm not sure my results are typical. I include it only as a cautionary tale. Positive or flush reveal would both be fine from the looks of your sink (pretty awesome btw!,) as long as your fabricator can deliver on your preference so I would be sure to discuss that with them. Be clear on how any possible mistakes will be rectified and you should be good to go! Good luck, hth mmhmm

We are soon to have our quartz countertop and Elkay sink installed. It specifically states on the template for the sink that a 1/2 inche reveal is recommended. On reading pros and cons it seems there is a split preferene. One positive for me is that the counterspace between our stove and the sink is small and this is where we seem to do most of our cooking. With the reveal you can have a custom sized elkay cutting board sitting on the reveal giviing us about a foot more countespace and work space. I'm going to look at the sinks at Home Depot to see if there are any with reveal. Until I read the template specifications and the cutting board specifications I did not even know there was such a thing as reveal. I only hope my fabricators are as good as I was told they are.

So...I know there was another thread recently about sink reveals. One of those things that at the end of the day is a personal preference. Our house is 14 years old, and we have a St Cecilia granite with a positive reveal over our stainless sink. It gets cleaned regularly. After becoming a GWaholic over the past 6 months I checked the sink closely. Yep, the silicone has dark gunk. Would never have noticed it (the granite color makes it difficult to see unless you are really looking). We are redoing a kitchen in a second home. It's a more modern design, and I used a Kraus sink that has square corners. I chose to do a negative reveal because I wanted a cleaner look. (This was before I discovered the gunk on my current sink.). So now I guess I'll have to look closer to find the inevitable gunk one day!

I remember there being 2 schools of thought on cleanability: Negative Reveal: You cannot see under the reveal and "stuff" accumulates. When you finally realize "stuff" is there, it's difficult to look under as you're cleaning Positive Reveal: Some people said it got grungy, others said it did not...but all recommended clear caulk No Reveal: No cleaning issues that I remember A person or 2 mentioned they were afraid of breaking glasses w/a negative reveal by bumping them on the reveal b/c the sink is wider than the opening...
