Identifying what species of this Callistemon (?)

And I like to know how high it may become. Unfortunately it is not the flowering season. The given pictures might (might not) help to identify it.

I also wonder if its roots will continue to grow. The plant should be 30+ years old. It was about 5-6m 20 years ago. Its current height may reach 6.5 - 7 meters.

Sorry, I haven't a clue about your Callistemon species. It might help to narrow it down if you could provide the flower colour. Not all Callistemons are red & if your flowers are white or green that might help put us on a shorter track to identifying it.

In the meantime, if you're looking to fill a little time, you could go to the Australian Plant Image Index www.ambg.gov.au/photo/apii/genus & scroll down to Callistemon. You can then wade through all the Callistemon species & see which species best fits yours. Be warned, however, as some of the photos aren't all that good so it might be difficult to get a match.

Let us know what you come up with.

Hi I have 3 planted and plan to plant 50 more. I paid $4.99 each and bought them from a wonderful e-bay seller by the name of Donovan. He sells more than one type and is very knowledgeable. I have bought several from him as well as tons of other things and everything arrives healthy and thrives. But they are starter plants about 6-12" tall. Fotis, the first one is a columnar cultivar of Pinus nigra. In this young stadium it's difficult to say now which cultivar it is because there are many cultivars with this growing habit but 'Pyramidalis' is possible. The second one is Abies nordmanniana 'Robusta' for sure... Why does it have so much sunburn damage, was it standing to dry for a while? Why did the grafter propagate those without the knowledge what he has grafted?

The county extension agent can probably identify it if you email a picture. You will probably have to make a couple of calls to find the right person. Farm bureau may be able to help you identify that person. Most horses won’t eat things they aren’t supposed to if they are healthy and have plenty of grass, but obviously it is risky to take the chance a horse is the exception.
