Comments (10)annz - Thx for your input. Good to hear from someone who has had both "naked" & "grilled" windows. :) I think the "framing the view" point makes sense. One can see the view from different perspectives through the many grille "frames." Also, I think if we are on the porch when it is dark, we'd feel like we were in a "dark hole" without the grilles. Comments (4)Thx Wow I will try to get this rep to earn the $7,000 premium over Home Depot prices that we are paying just for the "convenience" of doing business with him - The quote does have a tiny sketch next to each window which was helpful in seeing that the sizes we picked out would not lend themselves to that "4 square" look. Is that the rendering you refer to? The grills are about the width of a sharp pencil in these 1 inch sketches. I was told that Andersen is raising their prices at the end of end next week. Comments (8)By beefing them up, I'm suggesting the grilles be thicker in dimension. You cannot divide the current grille because 'lights" in windows are never that ratio of height versus width. You're the one trying to turn a ranch into a farmhouse. A lot of professionals would not recommend that....See MoreEast Bay 10
