What colour do you think my babies eyes will be?

My daughter is 10 months old and her eyes haven't changed that much since birth, they are usually quiet dark but in the light go this colour and have brown flecks near the iris and a charcoal/colour on the outer, has anyone's kids had this colour? Is it just normal brown eyes? If so what colour did they end up going once they wer older? none of my kids have had this colour my partner has blue eyes I have brown..

My daughter and I have those eyes: dark brown with the charcoal rim, though it looks like your daughter may have a bit of hazel? By now, I think what you see is her permanent color.

Oh, you could do so many things. If it's not exposed to harsh, drying conditions, you could do azaleas, which are beautiful both in bloom and out of bloom. I would do roses, I think, if you have the sunlight. Fragrant roses that bloom nearly all season. They require some effort on your part, but seeing their beauty and catching the heady scent of fragrant rose blossoms as you walk in the door is a joy. And those pots aren't too big for them. I forgot to mention that I travel with an 8 year old boy! Do you mind if he tags along? He would love that pool! Your house is so wonderful, I'm so glad that you took the time to post pictures. I can only imagine the work involved but thank goodness you didn't tear it down! As for the chandelier, yeah, it may not matter what you put there! But, if you want to stay with that cottage cape cod feel consider finding something with more visual weight, and not so many lines. A lantern could be perfect. I don't know if you've ever seen the Currey and Co chandeliers? I love to go to their site just to look at their products, even when i'm not really shopping. This particular chandelier caught my eye for your room. Somethign simple, with some visual weight, although I'm not crazy about the black for your room. But maybe this will spark some ideas... Well, we don't really need another person to say how stupid this is, but here I am anyway! It's not only stupid, but it is irresponsible. Dragging a baby across the floor. Really. Even if the floor is vacuumed, it's filthy with people walking in from the street where dogs' you-know, people spit, dusty, bird droppings, etc. Also, if someone mis-steps, stumbles, the baby could be crushed. It's reckless behavior from that "mom."

That's hazel - same as mine :) With a blue eyed and a brown eyed parent, if the brown eyed parent is heterozygous ie a carrier of the blue gene (proven if she or he has a blue eyed child or known if one of their parents was blue eyed then they must carry the blue allele) there is a 25% chance of blue and 75% chance of brown. If the brown eyed parent is homozygous brown, all their children will have brown eyes but carry the blue allele as well (could have blue eyed children themselves).

My father has blue eyes and my mother has dark chocolate brown, my siblings both have blue eyes and I have hazel so clearly my mother is heterozygous and also carries the blue allele which is covered by her dominant brown.

But hazel eye genetics are not well understood, it is thought there are "modifier" genes that create a blend of pigments. http://genetics.thetech.org/ask/ask126
