I think I could recreate it if I could find 2" diamonds. In the sidebar of the Country Home photo, it shows some other (cheaper) tile options that could produce a similar look. Unfortunately, they show 4" diamonds and hex as an option, but that would make the scale way too big. If I bite the bullet and get the P&L stuff, I'm actually thinking I'd like to put this in our laundry room where I'd only need about 7.5 square feet. Still, that's $700+. Not sure I can justify that. I don't know if I can talk my husband into it, but my next choice would be to do as some of you suggested and put it above our cooktop. Because we have a 9" stainless backsplash, I'd only have room for one row of "circles," but if it were framed nicely, I think it would look wonderful. That would only be $150ish. The next challenge would be ordering it. There are only two Pratt and Larson showrooms in our state, and the nearest is 4.5 hours from here. I could have it shipped, I suppose, but that adds further to the cost. Anyway, I think it's a beautiful, beautiful backsplash design! If any of you know where to find 2" diamond tiles, I'd love to know! :o)

Hi There - What is the image in the top right corner? Also, what is your budget? Regarding the sink cutout, It would be fine to stop the tile at cabinet height. You have a lot of yellow-y browns in your images. Are the colors pretty accurate? If so, I would try to balance those warm tones out by choosing a crisp, cool beige with more grey than yellow, both for paint and for tile. writersblock, I hear what you are saying. I have no problem finding individual pieces that I like, but no confidence in my ability to envision all of the pieces coming together successfully as a whole. In this case, I don't want to end up with subway tile because I chose a granite with movement in it. But it's difficult to envision the end result. Anyway, I saw some large format tiles today and wonder if these would work any better. They are in the middle, to the left of the granite. The main issue with these (aside from possibly clashing with the granite) is that the size of the tiles doesn't lend itself well to backsplash sizes; they are meant to cover entire walls.
