I'm suprised this is online! Thanks. THe quality is ok and it worked without hassle. It's just what I was looking for. Thank you. Please feel free to post other links as they come up. A 'similar' search using google showed me a few other pages that might work similarly. Just curious, zep, how do you use Ispeech? Anything special or just to help ease the load of typing all day? Always check out buy.com and ebay for used textbooks. There are some cases where an older edition won't work. Some professors assign homework from the textbook questions and the questions can change from edition to edition. Some colleges are looking for ways to help save students' money on textbooks. I know a few rent the books from year to year for a lot less than for what one could buy them. A professor I had for history used an on-line textbook, until the company went out of business and we couldn't access the website any more. Another teacher taught psychology from the book he wrote, but you could easily ace the tests from the lecture notes. Sometimes, it's worth waiting to buy the book until you see the first test. Many teachers just test on the lectures, so the book is only there for reference or clarification. It depends on the type of class too. Math books are often needed because problems are assigned from the book. But there is no reason that you can't share the book with another classmate, saving 1/2 the cost of the book. I bought a couple of books in subjects that were in my major because I thought I could use them again (which I did). I agree that textbooks are a major scam. There are ways around it, though. And the more people who fight for cheaper options, the better for all students. So lobby your universities and teachers for options. They do care (mostly).

"So how does one text? I would love to learn - anyone want to post the instructions?" Basically, you just bring up the menu, then choose "Message." Choose "Text" for the type. Depending on your model phone, you "address" the message by pulling from a "recently used" list, or you can type in the phone number, or you can bring up your list of phonebook/contact names and choose from the list. Then you put the cursor into the area where you enter the text and type out your message. If you have a phone with a "QWERTY" keyboard, you type it just as you would on a typewriter or computer keyboard. If you have a phone where you use the "number keypad," you have to press the "2" key three times before you'd get a "c" or the "3" key twice to get an "e," and so on. Usually pressing the "star" key brings up a selection of things like a period, comma, hyphen, question mark, etc. When you're done entering the text, you push the appropriate key/button to "Send."

artemis78, I found your link in my "working" list of threads needing repair, and I submitted it on 2/24. You're right, it's still missing all the photos. :-( Modern California Bungalow Kitchen artemis Oct 2011 Thank you for posting, because I also rechecked the last group of threads I submitted around the same time...and found a few more that are still missing photos and/or text. I've sent a new list to Tamara, to re-send to the tech team folks. I'll keep an eye on the threads I resent today. I appreciate the heads up!
