Did she win anything at the end?

She did not win the bonus round but her grand total was just under $14,000. That included a trip to Belize, I believe.

i WATCHED WHEEL last night. I also wondered why she didn't guess a letter twice. Was this the first time it has happened? Was my first thought. I did think she was having a problem with guessing a letter. Heck even me at home will guess out loud. Maybe they should take her winnings away.

I often think I'd NOT guess the obvious letters to help others get the answer faster than I could. Maybe she was doing the same?

Why would they take her winnings away? What do you think she did wrong? Something worth taking the money back? Really?

Seems to me that she was being kind.

One of the commenters pointed out that her whole demeanor changed after the break. I noticed that too. Earlier, she was so bubbly; then she got quiet and serious, and seemed to be distracted by something.

I don't know what the answer is, but I tend to think if she were making a kind gesture her facial expression would have been different. Another possibility was raised by a commenter when he said she might have avoided calling likely letters that would have helped the other contestants solve the puzzle.

I noticed it was strange, too. She called a "Z" -- Pat had to ask her to repeat that. Who calls a Z?

I totally think that's what she did Alisande. Why help others get to the answer in a competition? :)

Boy, that was really odd!

I saw that - she called a Z, X and Q - the other guys had little or no money - that could have been her motive.

I've watched the recap 3 X now. It's like she had an epileptic episode or a temporary black out, her mind just left her...nobody home. It looked more like a short lived medical condition hit her.

I don't think she planned this. She seems as surprised by her actions as we were.

Note: They showed a clip on "The View", expressing how odd "they" thought it all seemed.

Glad I am not the only one that thought it strange.

just as an aside, do you know that Vanna has never repeated an outfit? I looked this up yesterday. I don't know how many that is, but it's a lot!

Maybe because she didn't know the answer, and rather than give a letter that might help the others, she gave the odd letters....Z X and Q. If this was the case, she had a good strategy. Smart.

That was an awesome strategy. It may or may not have been planned, but it worked.
