Mealybug Help

Newbie here again, with more bug woes. :(

This time it's the dreaded mealybugs on my Echeveria Pulidonis. I've only spotted a few so far, which I spot treated off of it with Ispropyl alcohol. They got the stem of the smaller plantlet pretty bad, I don't know if that one is going to make it.

I've separated it from the other plants, it was the plant on the end in the windowsill and sitting next to my leaf propagation tray, so I don't think it's spread yet, though I did uproot the closest Echeveria and check it all over for any signs of them just in case.

My friend said I should wait to see how a spot check spot handles the alcohol before doing anything drastic, but I would like some advise on what exactly to do next?

Aside from advise with the mealys, should I behead that little plantlet? Does it have better chances on it's half eaten stem than it does of growing a new root system? I was going to wait for spring to do anything about it's two plantlets, is that still best?
