I never have any kids in this neighborhood.

We won't get many, not like our former neighborhood. DH misses it, he always enjoyed the kids, having grown up on a farm - he didn't really have the opportunity to participate in trick or treating himself. He always looked forward to Halloween, the kids in costumes, the chaos, all of it.

I have candy, but if we have 12 kids that will about like the last two years. Add to that, its really storming and not a good night for children to be out. Blowing and raining both.

We don't get too many as this end of our street has many older folks that don't turn lights on or decorate. Love the little ones. Our GS always comes over here so he can hand out candy and talk to the kids...once the bigger kids start he wanders away. (He is 25 and autistic, and wears costumes very often,,...he's a trip and all the neighbors know him.)

I rarely have trick-or-treaters. There is a new family on the street with two young children, so I bought some snack packages of cookies just in case they come by. I used to keep $1 coins on hand, but it's almost impossible to find those any longer.

We used to get 80-100 kids but last year we got 8. Our neighbourhood has grown up.

I hope not. We usually have a trunk n treat in my community but not this year. I actually forgot that tonight is the night and have nothing to hand out!

We will probably get between 30-50. Not many on our block leave their lights on so most kids don't think it is worth it. Maybe I need to buy the big candy bars and see next year if it makes a difference. LOL

We've already had about 20 and expect maybe a total of 60 before it gets too late. The rain stopped and it's really cool out there. Perfect Halloween weather!

None here. A Retirement Community doesn't attract the little ghosties and goblins. I miss them.

I have had over 100. It's slow now and I usually stop at 9. My friend who lives around the corner said there was a block party so lots of kids have gone there.

Blfenton, my neighborhood has gotten younger as all the 50's small split levels are being scrapped for building much larger homes.

I don't think there are any kids left on our street. One teen. Since kids attract kids, I don't think I'll have many.

I stopped being a host for TorT three or so years back when a thuggish element began to come through. I actually felt fearful.

So, I called the non-emergency number and told them, asking them to please do a slow drive through the neighborhood. Then, I turned our porch lights out (universal signal) permanently on Halloween. Sad.

I do make up several little bags with treats and little doodads for the nearest neighborhood kids, and deliver myself before supper. I hate to be a total grinch....or is it witch?

Our neighborhood is very accessible to anyone, has street lights, sidewalks, and is very trick or treatable. We'd see well over 100 pass through, most from who knows where.

not very many. I ended up putting my bowl with candy on the table, and went inside. Heard a kid say, you are taking it all... went out, looked, all was gone. Light is out, and it is quiet now. :)

We won't get any....the only masked "folks" will be the raccoons and they have already started arriving. I am expecting about 40 of them.

Well it was a slow night and only had 16! Kind of sad for nice weather and a Saturday night.

7 o'clock and we've had fewer than a dozen. Back in the day, we had at least 150--makes me kinda sad. I just had a group of 4 teenage boys who made a big effort at very cute costumes and were extremely polite, complete with genuine smile. Don't see too many of those!

It wasn't full dark yet, and we were sitting in the living room having a conversation, when a couple of trick or treaters knocked. I grabbed the bowl of candy and went to greet them but they were already down the stairs! Impatient little devils. They didn't even notice the open door and come back!

Not a one tonight..so many other things going on in our little town for them to go to. I do like the little ones but they have outgrown this area.

We had 42. We give out king sized candy and it's fun to see how excited the kids get. This tiny little toddler picked out a box of whoppers that was nearly as big as he was, ha.

It's 10 p.m. so I turned off the porch light...no kids this year.

I had only a few Urchins at my door. Cool weather and occasional rain drizzle cut the numbers. Interestingly, auto traffic on my street was low tonight as well. Our trick-or-treat time was only 2 hours: 6 to 8 pm.

Trick or treat is on the wane. It is less each year. I think there were more house parties.

It didn't rain for the trick or treaters but it started to pour at about 10 o'clock so the fireworks stopped, so, yea! The cats can come out from their chosen hidey-holes.

zero this year and my poor hubby was sitting outside waiting. I was in my bed recuperating from surgery. My biggest surprise was my niece brought her family to see me.

I'm disappointed. I only had about 15, and most of those were in one big group. I love interacting with the kids and it gets to be fewer and fewer each year. My town had a couple of "Trunk or Treat" things this year during the day (I guess I just don't get the attraction of that ... but oh well) so I guess that cut into the real deal.

We had a surprising boom last night! Previous years have been a slow trickle, but last night, plenty of amazing costumes and even parents were really into it.

We even gave out hot dogs for the parents.

Trick or Treat hours are 4:30 to 8 p.m. in our town. We stay dark now, after sitting and waiting and getting only a maximum of ten kids the last year we participated. (Houses on 1 - 10 acres.) Seems to me Halloween is *always* windy and rainy; it was here, but is to be in the 70's later this week.

Our DIL's parents live in a Chicago neighborhood where there are plenty of kids plus those bused in from poor neighborhoods. They spend $500 a year on candy!

We haven't had a lot of kids the last few years in this neighborhood. Trunk or treat events are really popular here with a lot of neighborhoods, churches and even towns having them. I guess a lot kids are going to those instead.

We only had two and one was our four year old granddaughter and the other, our soon to be two year old great grandson. Living in the country like we do, it is not likely you will have trick or treaters. They did not get candy, but an apple and some toys in the bag. They both love apples. They get plenty of candy other places.

I felt we had less than previous years, but still had at least 75 or so. The first Halloween we were here, My husband and I were the only adults to dress up. This year lots of parents were dressed up. We only saw a few teenagers. I'd rather they be trick or teating than getting into trouble.

We had none, not one...I put on the porch light and put the peke in his kennel but no one came, I saw only one other house with the lights on, the lots are over an acre here so not many kids came in the years before, we guess there's candy at the malls and churches along with other activities.

I handed out 1500 (not a typo!) pieces and there were still trick or treaters when I ran out shortly after 8pm. I'd say our neighborhood easily had 2000 trick or treaters. We are a destination neighborhood for our town and neighboring areas as well because our neighborhood is very walkable and safe. It is fun, but it gets a little exhausting.
