That's a good question. I guess I need to go over to the neighbor's house and look into my bathroom window from their upstairs hall window. (We live in a close-in, first subrurb of NYC, so houses are close together here.) I should also mention that the bathroom has white subway tile and a marble basketweave floor -- I am trying to achieve a 1920s style.

I vote for some Roman blinds in a nice print or stripe. Something that will embrace all the colors you're bringing in. You may want to check out Etsy. When we were doing our bathroom upstairs, I wanted something different for the window and found a woman there who made valances. Her workmanship was fabulous and I was really happy with the transaction. My favorite thing about it is it's more unique so every other house in the area doesn't have the same thing. I would just treat the lower windows unless you need to treat the upper ones...I agree the view is stunning!! You have lots of room so I agree on some sort of roller shade or perhaps a sheer shading, you have some privacy as needed but when they are open they roll all the way up into the headrail.

We have 3” plantation shutters for light and sun control and purely decorative curtains between the sets of windows (six wi Dow’s in three sets of two facing west). We also have a French door on the north aspect of that room that opens onto a careened porch. The door has no shade or covering. Our sunroom is also a regular room, connected To our main living area via three wide arches.
