Comments (3)Beautiful pictures, Ron! The gray one is a gray hairstreak. The others are skippers - I'm pretty sure the bright orange one is a whirlabout. My stokes asters haven't started blooming yet, maybe because they're in mostly shady situations. I don't see any point in buying cultivars, since you get a lot of differences in shades of blue naturally - I get some that are dark blue, some almost white, and some are blue purple. Sherry...See MoreMade time to take some more pics
Comments (18)Hi all, and glad that you enjoyed the pics. I actually have quite a few more to post, but didn't have time to put them in this post. I will try to post some more tomorrow. Rita, ORCHID ELEGANCE is one of my favorites and a great performer. The color is a soft clear pinkish lavender, and my pic is pretty true to the actual color. The only other DL I have that is similar, but a bit bluer in color is LINDA SIERRA. I really love that one also. Glad you enjoyed the pics. Linda...See MoreOk, time for some more...
Comments (15)Thanks you guys! Hey, I feel like an idiot. I rushed to naming BLACK PEARL. That bed is kind of a mess. I discovered today, that's not BLACK PEARL. I really didn't think it was, but could've sworn it was in the spot that is BP. But I found out it's actually INK SPOTS! Sorry about that! They're right next to each other and there's a huge Hot Lips salvia flailing all over the place in there, making it hard to see where the base of the roses are! Ann, I'll have to check DELLA for fragrance. Can't remember if she smells or not. I had to move her to the back yard because I'm rearranging pots out front and putting newer, younger ones there. Time to switch out the older ones that were there for yrs, and get them in the ground. So, she's in back awaiting her new location.... along with a couple hundred other roses! It'll be next spring til that happens tho....See MoreUgh !! I have tried to post some photos 3 times today.
Comments (17)Suebelle, The file suggestion is good. I noticed when starting a post if I include the pics in the first post, it isn't always going smoothly so I normally start the post with text then post the pics in the next posts. I used Chrome browser on a computer, and they have a max limit of posting 10 pics per post. Here are my tests (11/5/2019 @ 9:35 PDT): Each pic is < 1 MB - Posted 5 pics with total size: 4.1 MB: no problem. - Posted 10 pics with total size: 10.4 MB: no problem. MB: megabyte Some other websites or apps use some types of image compression programs, and that is why when you upload your images you don't need to resize them. I'm not sure if Houzz uses this type of compression program or not. If they do, it hasn't been working correctly for users. Until they figure it out, just resize your images to less than 1 MB/each. Sometimes, even with small file sizes, Houzz has some problems with their servers, so just wait and try it later. Good luck. Helen...See More- 10 years ago
