We just relocated the washer and dryer which included new ducting. When we removed the old ducting found that there was so much lint buildup in it that it was almost occluded. Clothes dry so much faster now!

I am also getting this code along with "lint filter" signal light.We have new house,have had the dryer for 3 months.It has been doing it since day one- but more so lately.We had the plumber come in and check if the exhaust vent was clogged(as is gas dryer). It was not- he pulled off the vent exhaust and tested the dryer unvented-it was still giving that same code. So that proves the ventilation is not the issue,but they did check the exhaust to the outside just to be sure & it was not clogged. I had an independent repairman here to check it-first, he points to the ventilation.Say its too long. Mine goes out of dryer 45 degrees down into floor then one 90 degree and straight out (24Ft.) to outside.I believe what runs thru the floor is rigid.Louvers of outside vent seem to blow open unobtructed.So he said he'd try and order me a new sensor. Then Bosch repairman was here.He also commented the ventilation setup is too long (Although the book allows up to 48 feet).He said its not sensor because that isn't used on timed cycle.He said try & wash filter because of the dryer sheet residue.If that don't work will try a new "controll". So I washed the filter with soap and hot water and tried it and its still doing samething.So I called and told them to order the controll.Wait & see. Sorry so lengthy!

I asked how it was vented because that can effect drying time plus best way to clean. And if you have a bird guard over the vent outside, it can clog and you can remove it and clean it. Also add one or two old dry towels to your wet load. Helps them to dry faster. A blower( leaf) is the best way to clean out the vent pipe.

Is the ductwork accessible? If so, can you post some photos—of as much of it you can see, anyway. And pics of the w/d area plus the vent, where the exhaust duct discharges outside, would be helpful, too. btw, I just bought a brush cleaning set for mine last week at Lowe’s. It can be attached to a drill and depending on the length of the duct run, used from either the inside, the outside, or both to meet in the middle. I haven’t used it yet because I want to change the transition duct to a magnetic system because it’s such a pain to reconnect everything. Here are some good overviews on the subject of dryer venting: Proper clothes dryer venting How to install a dryer vent Edited to add that until you know exactly what type of ducting you’re cleaning (rigid? flexible?), how all the individual pieces are connected to each other (screws? duct tape? cloth tape? metallic tape? shoestring?), if and how the ducting is supported, if the pieces are fit together correctly, etc., DO NOT USE A LEAFBLOWER!! In any event, if you post pictures of your setup, I’m sure we can walk you through it all.
