Dax, This problem is widely known, also in other countries. I try to teach our breeders for naming. I used to say them, just give a name, then in the description we tell the story: where comes the plant from, seedling, mutation or anything else. You are really right, but Lakatos has so many variegated cultivars after having big quantity of juniper seedbeds, - 'Tarka' is variegated in english -, that I was happy to bring them into a oneway street first. We renamed nearly half of his cultivars in situ for better understanding. The breeders tell always, that they are going to give information of the origin, and partly its ok. Just in Hungary I know minimum 4 variegated clones of Moonglow, and all are named as 'Moonglow Tarka'. That's why its really a good question: do we need 4 variegated Moonglows (or 1000 Picea abies WB's?), or we are able to give them different names. On the other hand. As I discover the hungarian coniferography, people come to light 3-500 km far from each other, who had earlier no idea, what are making other breeders. I think, if you dig down into the coniferography of your country, you will find something similar, and you will teach yours for the same, as I do it. On the "third hand", there is a 'Malonyana Holub' and many others too. This is a generally living problem. Zsolt

Hi Alba, Thanks! You just reminded me that I need to update that album...I'm going to wait till after the Summer because my hoyas are going wild right now! I get my hoyas from different places. Either trades, David Liddle orders, the hawaiian grower (can't put her name here, but email me if you want it - she has amazing hoyas for great prices), Ebay, and other online vendors (like Logees or Asiatica. Hoyas like tsangii and carnosa are the ones you usually find in big box stores (Home Depot or Lowe's). If you want the more "rare" hoyas, you won't find them there unfortunately. Gabi

My cutting has done well since last fall and is now a small plant with four growths of which the largest is 20" long. I have my plant in a 2.5" plastic pot with an open mix of soil, perlite and pebbles instead of the usual bark. I water my plant one or more times a week and it dries completely before I water again. I think this plant would be easier in each growers own potting mix, one that dries out quickly. I can't imagine growing this one in the mix that most Exotic Angle plants come in. Mike

Kelly, I am not positive about this but I believe plants do grow different types of roots and the ones on the asiatica plants seem to be there because of the humid conditions of their growing greenhouses. I noticed that the arial roots on mine dried up once the plants had been in my normal home environment for a week or so. So they may be useless as far as cuttings go, I don't believe they are that type of root. Also, snipping them off with manicure scissors had no negative effects on my plants.
