What are you children/grands dressing up as this Halloween?
Comments (48)Love it Sue!!! Jgbm: I wish I had the time to learn!! Maybe someday when I'm not up to my eyeballs in kid activities and work. As for Miley, if you knew my friend who had the nerve to dress up in it, you'd find it a riot too! It wasn't quite as revealing as the real one and she wore a miniskirt with it. I didn't think anyone would have the nerve to do it. As much as I can't stand Miley, for an adult only party it was hilarious....See MoreHalloween anyone? Who dresses their animals?
Comments (10)I am thinking of making a hot dog costume for my pup. The girls dress her up all the time and think its adorable lol! Well she leaves the costumes they put her in alone, so what the heck huh! We have to cats, petite little teeny things. And last year we dressed them up in the twins Halloween "onsies" from when they were babies and took pics! Needless to say I think we traumatized them and have a real aversion to anything orange now! Comments (15)If you haven't found the tux/suit coat yet, I would definitely be looking at the thrift stores. Around here, a man's suit jacket would run about $5. Do you have a local theater company? Some of them rent stuff out at Halloween time, to pick up some extra $$$. A tux coat just might be one they'd rent out. Of course you can rent a real tux coat at any wedding store, too, but probably for more $$. Two of our local theater companies were holding yard sales to get rid of some of their excess costuming. One was last month for San Diego Christian Youth Theater - one of my cast moms went down and picked up some things for us. One such "goodie" was a man's suit coat that had been cut back into an old fashioned suit coat. Another sale is today, and a different mom is going in search of a similar coat in black, or one that she could cut down. Donna...See MoreR U dressing up for Halloween?
Comments (9)I would really like to. But as of right now, I don't even know what any of my kids are going to wear. We have had a crazy October and it just hasn't gotten done. That is today's single goal. I'm browsing, looking for original but simples ideas. As soon as they get home from school, we're making decisions. First, we'll go through the "Box of Halloweens Past," get creative, and go for any supplies we still need. So if that goes well and I get inspired instead of frustrated, maybe I'll think of something for myself. I don't go anywhere special, just walk with kids around the neighborhood/answer the door. But it would still be fun. I just read an idea on line for "substitute teacher." Dressing in "teacher clothes," then making it all disarrayed, hair frazzled, chalk prints on the clothes, paper airplane in the hair, "kick me" note on the back. I was actually thinking of wearing it to school book fair tomorrow (I'm volunteering all day). Since I actually am one, it might get some laughs. My 15 y/o likes to do something with a pun. Last year he was "white trash." Cover w/white trash bag and tape pieces of trash all over himself. He and a neighbor both. I could see him walk up to people several houses away, then just hear the hooting laughter and knew they asked "what are you" and he answered. I was a little nervous he might offend someone, but he said absolutely everyone that it was very funny. And some thought it was hysterical! LOL! I still have to get candy, too. I decided to just give full size candy bars this year. I almost bought them two weeks ago, but DD said, "Moo-ooom! You know we'll eat them all before Halloween!" And I knew she was right. ;o) We will have tons of kids, many of whom we know well....See Moreparty_music50
