overwintering pineapple sage in nw Georgia (7B) or taking cuttings...

my pineapple sage finally bloomed... aaaaand how!!! it is probably 6-7 ft tall, and i would like to preserve it for next year to keep from buying new plants. I know that will NOT speed up bloom time, as it depends on day length.
so...

  • if i build a cold frame or hot frame around it, would that preserve it?

  • should i just dig them up and bring them in for the winter?

  • should i take cuttings? i have read that they readily root in water, moist soil/sand

  • do they produce seeds?

any suggestions are much appreciated!
