Gorgeous photos today!

This beauty is in our neighbourhood. Truly eye-catching when the sun shines on it.

Today because of a predicted freeze tonight, I had to pick everything in
the garden, including the winter squash. All these were from one
massive plant.

I also picked the last few small green tomatoes, a couple of forlorn cucumbers, and a veritable plethora of peppers. One bag of red or green bell peppers, one bag of banana peppers, and one bag of jalapenos.

Bob, that's an awesome haul on the squash. They look a lot like "Cinderella" pumpkins to me (actual variety is Rouge vif D'Etampes)... how's the texture and flavor? I was also running around harvesting everything before our first frost last night -- it's hard to believe that you'd get the same cold weather so far south.

My dad used to pick entire tomato plants before the freeze and hang them upside down in our garage to ripen - it worked!
