I certainly think you can do a wallpaper in a small room and have it enhance the room rather than make it smaller. That being said. it's advisable to paint the ceiling the same paint as the other three walls to create as spacier look. My only concern would be the window which would need window treatment which would then cut up the wall visually so you'd have woodwork trim, wallpaper, a window treatment and possible shade like item to block out light. Those are the items that will cut in to the paper and create a chopped up look. But, if you can find fabric to match the wallpaper then you're good to go. I've included a site with 84 designer bedrooms and quite a few have wallpaper. Check them out and you might get a feel for one that you could incorporate a similar type in to your room. I have a very strong bias toward metal filing cabinets w/ full-extension, heavy-duty drawer slides. The functionalit is SO very important if you use them in any frequency. Whatever you do, don't get something with 3/4 drawer slides--only get full-extension. Paring down and being serious about how often you access them might help you. In your situation, if you can splurge a little, I might suggest getting lateral filing cabinets. Except that, yes, they're all letter/legal (that Catalina one is nice!), and 18" deep instead of 14" or something. But if you do have a storage room somewhere, that's where I'd move the filing cabinets to. It sounds like you don't really need rapid and frequent access to that material. I use my filing cabinet as a pedestal on a desk.

Thanks all! Lots of good ideas here. Bunny, that's a little disturbing. You might be in need of some anti-tracking browser add-ons. The cabinet does function nicely and rolls well. There are nicer-looking ones as well as cheaper ones, but few had a lift suitable for heavier machines. And it's the only thing I've ever gotten from Wayfair where it was cheaper than elsewhere. I still don't get what the heck Wayfair is but that's another topic. :)
