paint looks gray....eeekkk

I am closing on a house and we are having the house painted as part of our purchase contract. The paint I selected looks fine throughout the house except the dining room. In the dining room, the tan/beige paint reads very blue/gray. It looks horrible. It is so bad that we painted it another much lighter shade of beige and the rooms still reads blue/gray, but not as bad as before. The dining room does get a decent amount of natural light, but it only has two recessed lights in the entire room. We are changing out the recessed lightbulbs to see if this helps and the rims in the cans are mirrored, so we are going to replace those with the white rims. I've painted many homes in my lifetime and never had colors change so significantly. I know colors can react and read differently based on lighting, but never to this extent. Do any of you have any advice for me? At this point, I am getting ready to paint again and avoid beige all together. I really need suggestions. HELP Please.
