I would be much more than a little depressed if i found such in my area... so sorry to hear about that Nil13. Unfortunately, ignored, poorly cared for residential citrus will take the industry down. I am curious if your neighbors know what ACP and HLB is.

May I suggest that you call your local Ag department to see what they might suggest for you and your neighbors.

The cdfa pest hotline were seemed pretty tired of getting calls about ACP from LA. They were like, "oh you're in LA. Yes they most likely are ACP start spraying and don't call back unless you have HLB symptoms."

The only problems I had in the five years I've been here are whiteflies and that was just at the beginning and the trees were neglected. These little bastards are new to the neighborhood.

I'm sorry to hear this. Yes, it is depressing, very sad. In the end, bugs will rule the world! I hope the scientists are working to develop something to prevent infection.

The solution looks to be the gmo citrus currently being tested.

wow they won't even come out? I had someone here from the state looking my trees over. No bugs thank goodness but I would think they would try to get rid of them since that's how the disease gets around.

A couple months ago the state was here asking if they could inspect my citrus trees, and of course I said yes. When they were done they left a form showing they'd found "symptoms" of HLB and I'd hear more if further testing confirmed it. So far, nothing--so I'm hoping it was a false alarm. I've already lost a beautiful tangerine tree, that just started...dying...a couple years ago, until it finally was DEAD dead. I never did know what caused its death. So now my remaining citrus trees are lemons and oranges, and I'd really hate to have to kill them...
