Ricky, I have a small red and a small pink Etilator (sp?) that I can divide for you. So far I have you down for those, some broms, and a michelia champaca. I still have american beautyberrys (see GardenPa's thread to see how pretty these are in bloom!), michealia champaca (orange flower) seedlings, miscellaneous hoyas (mostly carnosa or the green sports of KP or KQ), plumerias (see pictures), plumeria pudica, and miscellaneous coleus & perilla (perilla is a great subsitute for coleus for hot sunny areas with little water), Hedychium Sherry Baby (I think I got this from Evelyn last swap? It's now my favorite!), Hedychium Flavum, misc. heliconias, frosty pink brugs, etc. I've posted a link to some pictures below. Does anyone have any cuttings of the following to share? Jasmines, sweet almond verbana (aloysia virgata), Sweet olive (osmanthus fragans), aglaia odorata, bridal veil, fiddlewood, or small fragrant hedychiums? Fragrance is my new thing, lol. Kate, I know nothing about Hoyas except they are a new addiction lol. Anyway, I've got mine in a hanging pot from the flat roof where I was convinced they were frying up from way too much afternoon sun (one of these days I was going to find a better place for them) and today I went out to hit them with the hose a bit...and after (unsuccessfully) trying to knock off what I thought were spider webs, I realized they were flowers! My mini-wax leaf was covered in these tiny white & yellow blooms. About 20 of them. I was so excited I picked off 3 to take into the house and just put them on the counter. Let me tell you...the fragrance is unbelieveable, way better than any air freshner. My whole family room and kitchen smells wonderful! Now I see what I've been missing! Hope yours blooms soon!!!

I too am a Hoya-loving Brooklynite --- can I maybe pls. join you both in a local Hoya cuttings swap sometime? Pelican, I saw yr, Member Page & that you're looking for a Rope Hoya (H. compacta)? If still the case, you might try Plant King, downtown Brooklyn, on Laurence btwn Fulton & Willoughby Sts. (local Lawrence St. stop on the R train). They often have H compacta, several tri-color variegates (Krimson Prince & Krimson Queen) & once in a while some H. Polyneura (which I keep killing). If you go there, pls. tell them Karen, the Hoya Nut sent you.

I wish that plain old nicotine sulfate ('Black Flag') was still available. I've considered making my own nicotine tea, but am concerned about TMV transmission. I am a proponent of putting all affected plants in an enclosed space like a bathroom, and using a flea bomb, per instructions. It seems to work like a charm, and kills a fairly wide range of insects. I imagine that if you treated bare root plants this way, it might even kill root mealies? Has anyone else tried this? Rick in CT
