Some part good...Some parts not so good
Comments (12)I'm suggesting that the 10% KBG that you already planted will fill in the bare spots. As to the color variation, I'm guessing that you can account for that between the variety of grasses, the other crop, and the weeds. If that is okay with you then I think you are good to go. Just give the KBG time to fill in. Mulch mow it high and water infrequently and deeply as you can. Fertilize again on Memorial Day and the whole yard should green up. There will be color variation but perhaps less variation than you see now. You should see significant improvement in density by then, too. For others who are reading this, the photos are an example of what that quality of grass seed looks like after it comes in. It is very possible to buy pure seed with no other crop or weeds. For those considering buying cool season grass, here is a link for KBG seed selections that should work everywhere cool season grasses thrive....See MoreGood deal on some nice cuttings

Comments (32)I had someone do that to me last summer. I was selling a new and unopened inflatable waterslide we had and was meeting the guy about 15 miles from home since he was from the next county over. Once he got there, he examined the unopened box, said he'd take it and put it in his truck. Then he proceeded to try and short me $50 because it was 'all he had' and it wasn't worth anymore than that anyway. This was a new waterslide that retailed or $300 I was selling or $150 and after confirming the price via e-mail and phone he tried to short me! He insisted he wasn't paying any more than $100 for it so I had him take it out of his truck and put it back in my van pronto! His 4 year old kid - who's birthday party it was for that afternoon! - was in tears and I felt very badly for him, but that money was earmarked for something for my own kids and I couldn't help that he had a real jerk for a Dad. Fortunately, I had 7 other people wanting the slide and sold it within the same hour to someone who wasn't a cheapskate....See MoreI Got Some Good Deals Today!
Comments (7)I scan Craigslist for garage sales daily. Some are great. Some are not. Craigs allows the person to list almost all the items they are selling and you can get a "feel" for a sale before driving all the way to get to it. I have found that if they list a lot of baby clothes and toys they are not going to have a lot of furniture and housewares or any 'collectibles'. I never find my size in clothing at a garage sale. I have great luck finding clothing at Goodwill though....See More- 10 years ago
