Act on them? No, never.

There was a time I read horoscope daily and sometimes checked DH's. Like you, I would forget them within minutes, unless coincidentally something had arisen that made it close to true. Just an amusement.

Our 'daily' paper went from 7 days (5 evening and two weekend mornings), to 6, to three days - and is now back up to 4 delivery days in the last few weeks. Most days I don't even know if its a day to expect a paper or not, although DH reads it faithfully, every page. I've somehow lost the habit but will check local news online a few times a week. I need to begin reading it regularly again, I find I can't count on DH to mention something I might benefit in knowing or find interesting.

Well, even if you believe in astrology, the horoscope in the paper is a massive generalization only applying to the sun sign, so I think it should be taken more in the way one might a daily affirmation on a calendar, or out of context bible verse of the day--find inspiration where you will, but don't let it interfere with your life.

I like the horoscopes in TVGuide, but only because of the Geezer/Greenhorn game. It's only for people who have some notion to begin with of who TV stars and personalities are. They show one per zodiac sign. You have to name them and see how many you can associate with something they've been in. "Oh, yeah, that guy," doesn't count, though movies do. So Kevin Bacon could be Wild Things or The Following. "Kyra Sedgwick's husband" doesn't count, unless maybe you're teetering on the knife edge it would be enough to push you over. "That show on Fox where he's the FBI guy hunting the serial killer" counts if you don't do it too often. If you miss more than two out of the twelve, you're either a geezer (too old to know them) or greenhorn (too young). Amazing how many 15-year-olds really don't know who Kevin Bacon is. They're the post Six Degrees, IMDB generation. :)

DH and I read ours on our birthdays "so we'll know what to expect all the following year". Yeah, right.

A friend once made up my 'chart'. I don't know if she was aware of it, but it seemed to me that she used astrology as a prop, to put to use her degree in social work. (She was and is a born 'encourager'.)

Mercury is in Retrograde = chaos abounds for the month of September. Just a coincidence that it was brought to my attention after chaotic, but simple missed things recently.

I miss Grainlady!

What happened to Grainlady? She shared a lot of useful knowledge.

Sadly, I believe she was Challenged one time too many. I miss her, too, and have many of her posts copied and pasted to my "notes".Great educator and a super lady so willing to share her wealth of knowledge!

I read them once in awhile for a laugh. I don't believe them.

A good page I came across when searching for the meaning of ascendant is this I found more about astrology. Some of those pages let you calculate your horoscope for free and this way you see with your own eyes what is true and what is not.

Personally I don't think a Star from far far away has the power to influence my life in a way some people claim. Not even a full moon won't let me stay awake. jajaja

I further believe that most of out daily happening are a reaction of past behavior. I.e people having a grudge against you.

I read them when I run into them, but don't really believe in them. I do use tarot cards every day, and they are very helpful. I use them for insight and options. They help me make decisions. I don't do any predictions of the future.
