Well, things COULD have been worse....
Comments (10)Sorry about the mess and loss of your seedlings, Carrie. That 'pile' might be very colorful. Please remember to post a photo of it later in the year. I understand the 'back of my mind' thing. Sometimes I visualize something going wrong that I could avoid if I were more careful or made other choses and then, boom, it happens and I feel like I deserved it as I knew better. So, we learn, shake it off and go on. The construction company just came to pick up the dumpster. Yay, we can park in the garage before it snows tonight! The new siding is up and only a little touch up painting is left to do to recover from last spring's hail damage....See MoreOT: POTD: After 9 month you could end up with a baby or ....
Comments (13)Yeah Shawn, mine do at least, lol..I'm sure they dont do it special for me, lol. The seeds are in the black berry looking things, the seed pod will dry, peel back and reveal the berry looking seeds. When they are ready they will come off in your hand real easy.If you dry them well before storing, you can just rub them between your fingers to remove the dried berry/fleshy part. I leave mine on a piece of newspaper till they dry, then put them in a packet..I dont even take that outer fleshy part off. As long as you keep them dry they wont mold....See MoreIt could have been worse
Comments (9)Cool plants Karyn. You always find the most unusual stuff! I found some more buds on some of my brugs today. I hope these don't fall off this time. One is Naughty Nick and I really want to see how that one comes out. The little girl did pretty good if she took care of all that by herself and nothing died. I love the hoya bloom. Mine seem to be rooting but my one I got last spring has never bloomed. I found some neat stuff while I was out in the yard today. I gotta go download some pics and show you all....See MoreCould I have been hacked?
Comments (8)Ian certainly use Christopher's link to select a firewall. Zonealarm is probably the most used free one. I used Comodo for a long while, it is good but requires a little more user input I found. You might want to turn this thread into a total security set of questions for your computer. I suggest that because something seems to have been allowed to set up on your computer in the first place. All safety programs can be found that are free. You should seriously consider - besides an anti virus program which I hope you have - a couple of anti malware programs. These need to be updated of course and ran every so often. The free programs usually are not automatic, they require you to manually update and run. This is not difficult. If by chance you are using AdAwareSE personal I believe support for it will end December 30th. I found the new AdAware2007 to need considerably more resources to run so I got rid of that and replaced it with Superantispyware. I also run AVG anti spyware, AVG anti rootkit, Spybot Search & Destroy, Spywareblaster and BOClean. Not all on the same machine of course but I do keep 3 on each computer....See MoreSkybird - z5, Denver, Colorado
