I stick with our sunsets too. The pictures on spaceweather are awesome. Last night I watched the ISS and shuttle and at the same time the first couple of fireflies of the season showed up. There is a message somewhere in those 2 entirely different lights, I just don't know yet what.

It is not an heirloom from the picture. also it says "Great Packer" which tells me it is a modern thick skinned. It is semideterminant and so it must be a processing tomato instead of a fresh type tomato. "A delicate acid/sweet balance" seems to skip over flavor. Like processing tomatoes are not for flavor. delicate means you really can not notice it. Store tomatoes have that "delicate balance". Processing tomatoes are all about tough skin to ship and high yield to sell by the ton per acre. The farmer really gets a low price on processing tomatoes but he probably has a ready buyer to take it all. The average yield per acre on processing tomatoes is more than twice that on fresh eatting tomatoes. Processing tomatoes are left to lay on the ground and planted very close together. they want a tough skin to lay on the ground. Processing tomatoes are determinate because they are packed very close together sometimes as close as 2 inches in the rows. They do not want the labor of pruning. They also like to use a mechanical harvester if possible. I grew Jet Star last year and got plenty of nice big tomatoes with good taste. but then Jet star is a hybrid and apparently this one is OP. although it does not say that directly. I think all the seeds from Seeds of Change are OP. There is very few Organic hybrids but I did see one organic hybrid somewhere. To me the name is misleading. a Giant tomato should go over a couple of pounds and surely have plenty go over 1 pound. This claims only 7 to 12 ounces. No Giant to me. But with the claim of high yield you might want to try it for processing. It will not compete for flavor with some heirlooms.

I saw it last week, liked it alot. I have the book on request from the library, waiting for it to come in. Saw The Intern before that and liked it too. My son and I are heading up north tomorrow to see my daughter and take her some new contact lenses. We're planning on watching a movie and she picked a scary one, Crimson Peak. We'll see how it goes.
