I've been lurking in this forum getting ideas for a school garden where I volunteer. You all have great ideas. Very inspiring. Our local garden shop had some great signs in recently, but they are a bit pricey. I found a large flat bright yellow plastic platter at a thrift store that may be the "canvas" for my first attempt.

Eloise - nuh uh... no way I'm overwintering these cuttings. I have her trunk in a bucket of water in the basement and hope it will live and root til it can go out in the spring. Karyn - I thought the exact same thing as you did when I heard the name. - gotta be a pink. Nope. lol Shawn - BGI has it listed as a yellow single Enchanted Double White x L'Amour cross. She looks like a cream colored double to me, but what do I know. I'm just a newbie... :) She blooms well and smells lovely even as a cutting....

Les, I think you may have missed the fact that 'Andy' responded to ken's comments and his direct link to the Hosta Patch (scroll back up to see it)! Many times, when the topic of a good source is discussed folks chime in with their experience with other sources as well. Anita also made a comment about Hallson's, previously, and the OP acknowledged Hallsons' AND added Naylors' as being noteworthy as good sources! It's just how it tends to be here, (note andy's been around here since 2008--though I don't know him beyond this thread--I don't think!) with no intention to hi-jack the op's thread in mind, but just rounding out the discussion at hand! Sorry, Les, I don't mean to be contrary toward you, either, and I know you tried to be diplomatic in your accusal, but I just hate to see folks made to feel badly that way, (he has to feel unfairly singled out and SMACKED--I would anyway) especially when it's unwarranted as I feel is the case here, given the nature of this forum, and the actions of other posters before him in this thread! The U shaped bamboo trellises are much more useful. When the plant gets too tall you just loop it down and then position the growing tip facing up and let it continue to grow. If you cut your plant back, soon you will have multiple growth reaching for the ceiling and it will be more difficult to deal with than it is now. This is one Hoya that needs a sturdy pot and trellis because it will become quite heavy as it grows larger. Mike
