Anyone having iphone trouble?

Is anyone having this problem with their iPhone--the text box is greyed out with 0.00 at the right end? Rebooting cures the problem but only temporarily. You cannot see the words you are texting. I see a couple others are having the problem on the Apple Community forum but I didn't find a fix other than rebooting every couple days or so.

PS This is only since the recent update, 9.0.1 I think it was.

I am having a couple of issues, but not that one. Say you're in email. You click on a link in an email and it takes you to a webpage. I used to be able to swipe to get back to my email, but that option is gone. Shame. I really liked that one. Also, I have the Swype keyboard, which I really like. Even though it is chosen as the default, the regular keyboard keeps taking its place. And these are both since the update as well.

There are a couple of points to be made that seem to have been overlooked. Dry organic fertilizers used with container plantings are going to be pretty ineffectual. Commercial bagged container or potting soils tend not have the necessary populations of soil organisms required to break them down into a plant usable form. OK for any inground planting but not for containers, despite what the label might indicate. While some nutes might get assimilated and absorbed or taken up by the plants, most of it will be wasted. If you want to stick to organics - ideally not really advised for any containers - then stick with fully liquid ones. That the dry stuff has developed a 'mold' is not unreasonable. Fungal organisms live off the organic matter these products contain and the 'mold' is just the visible sign of these natural decomposers. They will also appear in regular old and unfertilized potting soil as well, as a good percentage of that is also organic matter. In and of themselves they are harmless and won't adversely affect the plants - they feed off of or decompose dead OM, not live plant tissue. But they are often an indication that the potting soil is being kept overly moist and that CAN harm the plants!

Thanks for the responses folks - at least I don't feel personally slighted at not being able to read the rest of the pages. Kate, I'm accessing the site by a good old fashioned desktop computer, though mine is an Apple. There is no cache at all on Google Chrome since I only use it for one task at work that has a funky programming that requires Chrome, so there's no history there to clear out. I'm on GW now with Firefox on my desktop computer, and it's still doing the same thing it does on Chrome and Safari. Looks like there's not a simple answer to why some of us are having problems and some are not, since I'm not using anything modern or fancy. I haven't tried to access GW on my phone but the screen is so small I can't fathom any real reading or viewing on the phone for my poor old eyes. Sigh. I was happy that I was able to see and read messages with pictures fine, but only on the first page I guess. I wanted to hurry up and thank everyone for the input before this scrolls to page 2 and I can no longer see it. If anyone from Houzz has an explanation for this I'd be most grateful. There's no point in my trying to start a new post until this resolves for me, since I won't be able to see anything in response unless it's a very recent post. Cynthia

Call your mobile carrier's tech support number. I never hesitate to do so with mine when I have an issue (Verizon), they're very helpful.

Have you installed the new update? Heard about a lot of problems with it.

Yes, the latest update was installed. That's when the trouble started. The update needs an update! I could call the carrier or go to the local Apple Store I'm going out of town and will look into it on return.

LATER....EDITED: I took Snidely's advice and called AT&T. The rep said Apple is aware of a lot of troubles. (My take on this is that they rushed it out to get their new news ap out there.) I am managing with the phone for now but hope they get it fixed soon. Thanks all.

I am NOT happy with the update to 9.0 and the fuzzy pictures in my Photo Library.Do not like the small screenshots at bottom in photo library either. NOT doing upfates anymore.I need to remind myself not to fix something that isn't broken. Used to be a big Apple fan. They are falling out of favor with me.

I never install new updates right away - BUT this time I did - my problem is that I cannot connect to the internet. I can send texts, and use my apps but trying to connect - it just sits there and spins - lesson learned - never update, at least not right away. I suspect there are other problems that I haven't found yet.

Chessey, that was one of the problems that AT&T mentioned to me, unable to connect. That's more than annoying! Sorry, hope Apple gets things fixed soon.

I’ve got a Samsung Galaxy.
I'm getting a message each time I plug in my charger which says "Battery charges more quickly if you use original charger" and when powered down reads "The connected charger will take longer to charge. To charge faster, use the original charger and power cord."
I'm using the original charger.
Never had this problem until this new update.

I just got a notification that update 9.0.2 is available! That's good.

Yeah, I don't install new updates for at least a couple of months either, to avoid these problems that always seem to occur.
