I'd Never Thought I'd See the Day...
Comments (13)I have had the same thing happen with two Hoyas. Both my Hoya archboldiana and obscura did almost nothing and were not what I would describe as healthy plants. I ended up cutting the top from the small plants and rooting them. So far so good as both plants are growing well now and the archboldiana has produced and retained it's first set of leaves since i got it last spring. If at first you don't succeed try try again LOL. Comments (63)How did I miss this? Kate your kitchen is TDF! Just beautiful. I totally empathize as we are into our eighth month and have several more to go. I don't know which is worse: dealing with contractors and tradespeople who don't meet expectations, or having your own dear spouse doing everything (which is what we're doing) -- so there's only so much one person can do every day and still stay sane. But I do know from prior experience (bathrooms) that the pain is forgotten once everything is completed. Your kitchen is going to be such a joy. Just try to imagine the sun shining (it's spring? summer?) and all the people you love standing around that gorgeous island, celebrating with you. Hold that thought!!!!!...See MoreEggplant, great to eat, never thought I would paint with it!
Comments (47)Thanks everyone! I appreciate the vote of confidence! lascatx and jterrilynn, thank you so much for putting the time to create those mock ups. jterrilynn, I got the strip from behr yesterday. It's definitely darker then what we have up now. very pretty color. I do really like the RP, especially this morning as we actually have a little sun poking through. It's amazing how much this color changes throughout the day. funcolors, I'm glad you chimed back in from the other post. I was thinking the same thing that the others are so close to each other, but wasn't sure if it was just my untrained eye. My husband came in with all the other samples pinned up and said, do you really think we need to spend another $120+ for that small of a difference. We will finish it up on Monday/Tuesday as we have to replace the baseboards and then I'll post another pic. I'll need suggestions for window treatments at that time ;) Love this board, you are all so very helpful!...See MoreWith recent talk of smelly washers, thought I'd clean my old Maytag
Comments (13)My water is softened then filtered. I have some suds no matter what I use. Some detergents I can't use at all because the amount I can use and not have excessive suds just isn't enough to clean anything. Having HE on the package really doesn't mean much in terms of suds. The lowest sudsing detergent I've ever used is Sunlight powder, not HE. Or maybe they didn't want to pay for the symbol? I often think moldy washers aren't just the result of fabric softener alone but FS and not enough detergent to compensate for it. There is extra oil left in the washer and on the fabrics after the cycle from the FS....See MoreUser
