Fredda...Try putting the link into an email and sending it to
yourself. I don't use Yahoo email but I know with the email program
that I do use, the link doesn't change color until the email has been
mailed and received by the party to whom it's directed. Perhaps it's
the same case with Yahoo.

Other than that...if you mean adding a
link to a sentence using an HTML code...that's a tad different. I'm a
little rusty in that department but I seem to remember that it involved
this HTML code...<a href="add the http address you want to link to between quote marks" >then add the name of the link</a>

Hope this helps.

Well, I am still one of those without my personal e-mail addy listed on my member page, but can have e-mail sent to me through GW. In the past, I have had my addy listed and have had serious problems with spam mail that comes from other forums on GW. Since I post on quite a few of the other forums on GW, I found that some of them do have their fair share of spam type posts; advertising for various websites, products etc. When my e-mail addy was available for anyone to see, these posts would pop up on these other GW forums and within an hour or so I would have the spam coming to my e-mail box about the product, site etc. Once I realized where all this spam was coming from, I removed my addy from my member page, and that was the end of the spam coming from here. Hope you all understand why I no longer have my e-mail addy available to see, but as I said, you can send it through GW and I would say that 95% of the time I don't have a problem getting it. Fran

albert- My response was to your first post. Looking at what you subsequently wrote, I'd say that it may make sense based on whatever filtering and spam identification software Yahoo has in operation. Spam filtering is a complex and imperfect art, and that folder with many links could have looked suspicious based on whatever algorithms were at work. If you try to send the links in the folder like you did at first and it gets kicked back again, that would likely confirm that this approach won't work. However, if you can use something else, like gmail or Hotmail, it may get through.

Then the problem must be on Apple's end. What about creating another iTunes account? If you don't have one, get free email account from Gmail, Hotmail, Yahoo, etc. If possible, use a different credit card. Or just wait until Apple responds to your original inquiry.

Do those of you with Yahoo email have problems?

We've had some problems with Yahoo not downloading emails in a timely manner onto our phones and ipads, but otherwise that's it. We're stuck with it as we have ATT internet service and that's what they use. However, on our Mac, we use Outlook, which imports from ATT. I'm concerned about these numbers you're calling and think they must be junk--I don't think I've ever been able to actually call Yahoo for help. Please don't give any info to random people who want to take control of your computer! You could try the GW Computer forum, or hope Raven might check in--she's a smart cookie with the computer. And yes, it's ridiculous that it is very difficult if not impossible to get Yahoo help.

Yahoo email service has been erratic for me for many months, maybe a year or more. I use both the Android app and web access, and both can display unpredictable and troublesome behavior at inconvenient times. I also use Gmail and find its service superior on all counts. Were it not for a couple of Gmail characteristics that I dislike, I would stop using Yahoo altogether.
