we're planning this same set-up. I chose the blanco diamond super single because I wanted a single bowl sink with the drain off to the right side. We will also have a disposal and a hot water tap on the right. We planned it this way so we could free up the left side space for a garbage bin under the sink. We are planning for a rev-a-shelf double 35qt system which should fit perfectly. I'm waiting till our granite and sink are in before we do that though. On the other door I'm putting the rev-a-shelf sink base storage unit (holds dish soap, sponges..etc). My sinkbase is going to be jam-packed with stuff and it will hopefully make life easier. Hi antss, thanks for your comment. Is this something that doesn't have to be detailed on the blueprints for the kitchen? I was thinking that I should have on the plans whether the drain is to be centered or rear located. Are you saying that's not necessary ahead of time?

I have the same system as abbabug (the servo drive) but a different type of drawer. I went with a Legrabox from blum and a waste system from Blanco: http://www.blanco-germany.com/en/int/accessories/waste_separation/waste_systems.html They have a lot of systems you can pick. The one I got had 4 bins - 2 small and 2 larger. The drain does occupy a good part in the back so I had to remove the 2 smaller ones, but that's just because I have a double sink and there's a lot of pipes.

whaas_5a I would be happy to share a picture of the sink. It's the Elkay model number ECTRU30179R. I bought it at Home Depot during a sale when it was $230 http://www.homedepot.com/p/Elkay-Crosstown-Undermount-Stainless-Steel-31-5-in-Single-Bowl-Kitchen-Sink-in-Satin-ECTRU30179R/205320958 It is in a standard 36" wide base cabinet. I was initially worried that it was "only" 31.5" wide and I wanted the widest sink I could fit in the cabinet but honestly it is plenty big! I should also mention that we were on a really tight budget for this remodel so I was looking for an affordable sink as well. It's a massive improvement over the double cast iron sink I had before. It has some scratches already but it doesn't bother me. There is a grid available for it and I may buy it.
