just fyi - a lot of tv shows returning this week and next.
Comments (10)I am beyond thrilled that Friday Night Lights returns this week. Every actor on that show is absolutely perfect for the character they portray. Word to the wise when setting Friday Night Lights to be recorded -- the shows will appear in the listings as repeats -- because they've already aired on a premium chanel (can't recall the name of it offhand). So don't set your DVR or Tivo to record only new shows, because these, technically, aren't. And Medium doesn't return until the first week of February!...See MoreCancelled TV shows last year
Comments (22)"I loved Friday Night Lights. They always cancel the good family type shows." Don't despair - Friday Night Lights will be back, but not until January. Prior to that, it will be on one of the cable channels (wish I could remember which one). That's one of our absolute most favorite shows! Hubs and I have gotten so disgusted with the way the networks cancel shows so quickly that we aren't going to watch any of the new shows at all. The only new one that we watched last season was the Miss Guided show on ABC that didn't come on until the writer's strike, and it was really cute. But, it's been canceled... So, we'll watch our favorites that will be back, and as they slowly (hopefully not quickly!) get canceled or reach their end, it will be an extra 30-60 minutes for doing something else... This is the last season for E.R. and we didn't watch it at all last season. Don't know if we'll start in on that one again just to catch the final season. ... Probably not!...See MoreFor those who saw last night's show about the 2004 Thailand tsunami
Comments (7)I didn't see it so I can't say. It hits a little to close to home. My DS and SO were there three years ago, backpacking for a month. I gave them the lecture, you know the one all moms give their kids, and told them to run like HELL toward higher ground, if the water disappeared off the shoreline. While they were there, there was an earthquake off shore, and tsunami warnings were out. I was frantic trying to find out if they were alright. It was three or four days before I heard from them. They were fine, on the other side of the island when that happened, away from the warning area. I never want to go through that fear again!...See MoreNew TV shows vs Old TV shows
Comments (23)Jasdip, I just have a cheap inside antenna. Some of my friends in the county pick up more stations than I do. I also can't pick up our local ctv station in my living room which I find strange but when I had a television in the bedroom I used to be able to get it a 5 am. I got rid of cable in 2004, my neighbour bought me the analog box and the antenna years before the stations changed and set it up for me. I couldn't believe the all the new stations that appeared. I am in a good location. I am always scanning for new stations. I get better reception and more stations than some of the people i know who are paying for cable or digital and they don't get any of the local Detroit stations. I just think of all that money I didn't give to the cable company haha it now goes to Bell for my internet...See More- 10 years agolast modified: 10 years ago
