One of the better ones as it a quite attractive variation from the commonplace varieties but still easy to care for like the commonplace varieties. Go over to the sansevieria forum and ask around. Comments (2)Hmmm. The Mentha x piperita looks like the leaves have jagged edges. These leaves have a smooth edge with no tooth. They almost have a mint chocolate aroma. Just delicious! The previous owner has connections to a local nursery in town. I wonder if she planted it. She planted some amazing things. It's growing in the wrong place, like mint often does. I have a feeling a previous owner planted it, regretted it, ripped it out, and with some rain and irrigation, a remaining root is now growing. We'll be potting it up today. Comments (3)I've always thought that what Americans call Pineapple Mint is really variegated apple mint. Certainly, the variegated apple mint smells and tastes very much like a cross between an apple and a pineapple (more apple than pineapple!) - at least in my part of the world. Did you crush the leaves before smelling/tasting? Keep in mind that there are at least 600 different types of mint, so there is great opportunity for false labelling!
