Comments (17)Thank you Tanja! I should correct myself, it's a Sony S600 Cybershot, the hack is the worst, best is to start on a cheap P32, or P43, I have ruined my first hack P32, buckshot does most of the hack video....below the 600hack. There are only about a handful of Sony's good for this hobby, there are some other brands but Sony's are preferred. Hunters use these allot for wildlife location, I always wanted to build something remote and stumbled onto this, I put them out simply to capture wildlife in my yard, it's a great hobby and very addicting! I'll give some more links later. This is the S600 inside of a 1060 Pelican case. The 3 mall batteries on top of he Bigfoot control board for power, the 2C batteries are for additional power for camera, so 5 wires get soldered inside the camera, 3 for running the board/camera, the other 2 wires for additional power. This is how the outside looks. Sony S600 on the left, the others are P32 and P43 inside a 1040 case. These can be strapped on the tree. Google Trail camera build. Comments (18)Oh man, this is a huge issue for me. In general, I am not a pack rat. However, there are a few big stumbling blocks for me. The first is a desk my father made for me. It is the only thing I own that came from him. It is well made for a home project, but it is too small and does not work at all in my home office. I have nowhere else to put it. I want to replace it but the thought of sending it off to a thrift shop is killing me. I also have jewelry from my mother, and more to come since she is still quite alive. I also will inherit sets of Limoges and Spode china, a big silver service, Boehm birds and on and on. None of these items fit my lifestyle. I will offer them to my nieces but their lifestyle is even more casual than mine. Yet, I know all these items are important to my mother and I hate to let them go. I also have an attic full of old Fisher Price and Playskool toys that I saved for my grandchildren -- who never materialized! I am not sure what they represent to me, but I simply cannot part with them. Maybe it's the knowledge that I am never going to be a grandmother which honestly doesn;t bother me that much. I have four darling grand nieces and nephews. Here's another -- miles and miles of old home movies. I have had them all transferred onto DVDs, but I feel so nostalgic about the films. Just seeing them and smelling them brings back a rush of memories of my father, who loved his 16 mm camera. I guess they will stay in the family until they reach a generation who doesn't give a hoot about them and tosses them in the dumpster. I dread the day when I clean out my mother's house, which is enormous and packed with stuff. A lot can be dumped or sold but there also are a lot of family items. Why oh why do we do this to ourselves??...See MoreShow me how eclectic you are!
Comments (100)bookcases are actually custom made and we chose modern streamlined style. I collect postcards..a bit..mostly girls or weird girls (hate vents. note to self-paint. change. something. sometime) kinda hard to refuse a ceramic pomegranate..so I have several of these. it's a symbol if whatnot in Israel, very popular portrait of a rabbi-won on EBTH..I like to pretend it's my great grandfather. I'd love to have more kids..to name after him..he was an incredible man. Well..I guess not in the stars.. you can't see it very well, but there's a ceramic donkey/horsey there. If it breaks my heart breaks. Bought it years ago in Zefad..And then, many years fast forward, we saw a painting with another donkey in St Petersburg, Russia while saving for the frame, I leaned it and my DH moved it in a way that both donkeys look at each other and are kinda talking he did it as a joke but I loved it and left it like that. lol. let them talk the paintings that you can't see but are alrady there/waiting to be there-it's kinda my places-I-love collection. Most of them collected from Zefad artists (they have an Artists colony there). It's a strange and wonderful city. Populated by strange and wonderful people.....See MorePet Portrait?
Comments (36)dyh, I find it odd when guests (either family or friends) visit and don't comment on something new or meaningful to me. I don't mean something small or easily overlooked, but a new portrait of Brie right over your fireplace?!! I get that it didn't look odd to them, but I would not have been able to contain my delight over the painting. I have a Waterlogue'd portrait of my cat Bessie in my guest bath. I think it's totally adorable and hard to miss. In the 3-1/2 years it's been there, one (1) person has remarked on it. She loved it, and I told her that she was the first and only person who ever said something about it. She was shocked. It just goes to show that you need to decorate with what you like, not what you want others to respond favorably to....See MoreKonrad..just outside of Edmonton Alberta
