My Cypella coelestis hasn't set buds either, but the foliage is behind the drumstick alliums in that photo. C. herbertii has started blooming, but I've been spending too much time at work to catch anything but the spent,shriveled flowers. Sandi, the blue foliage in the back is Euphoria characias var wulfuenii, which I consider to be one of the backbone plants in there. I've let it seed all through the side garden to try and deter the deer a little. Cameron, Intrigue gets about 7 feet tall for me. The flowers are orange and on the small side for a canna, but I grow it primarily for the foliage and form. It's in a location where it gets backlit in the late afternoon and then it really glows. It would look great with your orange echinaceas -- I pretty much struck out with those.

Ellie - I don't have Blue Pink Beauty, but I have a lot of other Stamile pinks. Shores Of Time and Chartered Course are my favorites, closely followed by Absolute Treasure, Lyrical Presence and My Girl. I tend to like the brighter shades of pink the best. The older ones like Seminole Wind, Chance Encounter and Follow Your Dreams do very well here too. Sierra Grande and In Search of Angels have not increased well, but the flowers are so pretty they get to stay. I got Madiba Magic last year and haven't decided whether I like the bloom yet. The bloom shape is strange, although the color is nice and the fans double scape. When I first saw Ricter bloom here, it was a very light pink with nice ruffles. The bud count was very low during its first bloom and then nothing last year. I almost gave it away because I'm so out of room. Hopefully this year it will really strut its stuff and I'll fall in love with it. Debra

Thanks all for viewing my daylily seedlings. The first one looked like a bowl full of flamingo feathers when I first saw it early in the morning. It bloomed double twice in succession, and then changed to single blooms (second picture). I'm having problems with either my camera or my monitor on pink, lavender or purple colors, as they do not show up true on the screen. Has anyone else had that problem? Nancy
