Comments (6)rob333, It does not appear to be a coating. There is no bubbling up nor pealing of any type. It just looks like something has dried on it. It isn't actually the shape of water drops, but when you look at it it looks to me like liquid has dried on it. I just now took a look and I scraped on each side of the door. Comments (6)Jacobse - it might have been me posting about Invisible Shield (that Meg711 mentioned). However, I likely posted about it in the context of people asking how to protect their glass shower doors from spots. It is my pet peeve when people recommend RainX for that task. RainX is for car windshields and for outside use. It outgasses, and shouldn't be sprayed in an enclosed space. Anyway, the company, Unelko, which invented RainX (which they subsequently sold to another company) invented Invisible Shield. Still, I am not sure whether you should spray Invisible Shield on your faucet, as you will likely be drinking out of it. Not sure if that's a good idea. Well, here's the link.
