Thanks, Mare. Glenda, we sat there where the blue umbrellas, I guess they are, at the hotel that is right there and we watched the big ships prepare for, and then get, underway. It was fascinating to watch and fun to see all the people standing at the railings, waving to everyone on shore!!

All around Anchorage, the lamp posts were covered with these flower baskets, in the colors of the Alaskan state flag.

Jasdip, your photo brought back childhood memories. Planter's Peanuts originated in my City. There was a PP store on our city square and a man in a Mr Peanut suit would walk around near the store and square giving out little PP trinkets to kids. Many years after Mr Peanut was a thing of the past and the store was gone, while we were fishing, my DH and I met the sweet guy who wore the costume. I felt like a kid meeting a childhood hero.

Elizabeth...so U got me to wondering...what is the diff between a Lynx & a bobcat. Quote: "Lynx have an entirely black tail tip, while the tip of a bobcat’s tail is black on top, and white on the bottom." and the bobcats tail is longer than a lynx. Otherwise.....location is key.
