Fighting acid with acid --Who knew?

Thank-you!

I don't generally have acid issues or reflux. I've been dealing with stress and exhaustion, and didn't think about that when I had a (delicious) sandwich for lunch that was thickly spread with grilled jalapeƱos, and then, at dinner time, ate something that was mislabelled to which I had an allergic reaction. Awhile later, I had a great blast of burning (the jalapeƱos?) acid from my ears all the way down. Usually, I might counter acid with yoghurt, but that sounded disgusting. Then, I remembered the thread about apple cider vinegar, so I thought, why not? I had a bottle of Bragg's. I put the 2 tsp. it said on the label for "a healthful drink" into my glass of water (and, no, the water itself didn't help before I put the vinegar in). It tasted surprisingly good. And it immediately and totally counteracted the burn in my throat and esophagus, and seems to have settled my stomach, too.

Miracle cure.

Not something I might have ever guessed. Heartfelt thanks to you all for the information.
