A picture of your best plant grouping (including a rose!)
Comments (9)Wow. Those are beautiful gardens. You all have obviously put a lot of love and care into your properties. I've just planted delphs near a climbing pink rose, so I'm looking forward to that combination from the pictures. And I really like the look of those potted cacti in the sitting area (is that Sweet William I see in the bottom left corner, or phlox?). I'm really impressed with your use of hardscaping...all the rocks, feeders, bird baths, fences and arbors. It gives me a great sense of what works! Newjersey rose, can you give me more information on Lavender Lassie? She looks like a worthwhile climber to add to my garden. Thanks again everyone...and keep adding pictures!...See MoreHeritage Roses Group 'Rose Letter' August Issue

Comments (28)Kate and Jacque, your yards are amazing! So beautiful! I planted roses in three's for the first time last year. I have a very small garden, but wanted to put some roses in the front (for several years I resisted but couldn't any longer). I generally have groups of everything in the front border to the walkway to my house. As Jacque stated, the Austins are getting very big in their first year (and they are on their own root to boot!). I may have to move out a Lady Alex of Kent to another location. She is huge! I dont' want her attacking people as they try to get to my front door. That being said, the border by my front door is only a couple of feet wide, so I have to grow bushes/plants that don't get wide. Because I have such a small yard, everything else is planted just as one plant. I love the variety and they do fill in. Let me see if I can get some pictures of last spring. Front border back rose bed As you can see on my back bed, my Abridge Rose (front pink) and my Evelyn Rose (tall one in the back) are reverting back to root stock and will be gone this year. As will Jude the Obscure as I DON'T like this rose at all....See MoreWish there was a local plant coop plant/seed group near
Comments (0)What I mean is a group that could pool cash togther and buy for example dalhia tubers I mean I've seen at a local box store a 3 pack of blue boy now I take the bunch that come in three clumps and let the eyes start then would divide the tubers so for me Id only need one outa the three and if I had a couple more folks at least we could pool funds buy 3 diffrent types and each have 3 kinds to plant. And I do miss the canadian exchange lol...See Moreroseseek
