View across the Great Salt Pond towards the Coast Guard station My wife's family always use to go to Block Island for their summer vacation, and were members of the Block Island Club where many of the family learned sailing. In fact her father orchestrated the first purchase and shipment of "420" sailboats that the club used. Here's my wife and brother-in-law taking a 420 out for a spin. Comments (11)Annie.....that's the "wheel of dharma" mudra hand position, on the big one. Growing up my mom collected buddhas and Oriental art. We once found a whole skid of cement cast 2' high ones @ K-mart for $18ea. My mom purchased "1" for my brother(she already had a black one), he called me freaking out. On the Oceanside pier, there is a small café that also sells bait to the fishermen. I thought it was funny that the two signs on the side of the shop make it appear as if the Health Inspector gave the bait an "A" safety rating.
