Dish doesn't offer tech support? Usually programming a universal remote to a specific TV is some combination of buttons followed by a 4 digit code for the TV manufacturer. Some manufacturers have multiple codes so you may have to try all of them before finding a match.

It's been about five years, but when I first signed up for DISH, a technician came out, installed the receiver, and set up the remotes. How come you have to deal with this yourself?

They do offer telephone tech support, and I believe they'd send someone to your home if needed. Call at a non-peak time if you can (like, not during a nationally broadcast sports event) and you may find, as I have, that their tech support people are very customer-service oriented and (more importantly) capable.

I hate my new Bosch DW. It does NOT clean dishes

I assume that this problem was resolved since this is an old posting. However for those like myself who also had the same trouble and hated Bosch; I found a solution. The spray arms are poorly designed and the tiny holes clog over time. Unscrew the "nut" attaching each of the spray arms and use an ice pick or something small to unclog the holes along the arms. You will have to tilt the arm back and forth and shake out all the particles through the center connection hole in order to clean it out. Run water through it to be sure it is clear and shake it until there is no sound and the holes are clear. Re-attach to the machine and you will have sparkling dishes again. I cursed the darned dishwasher for weeks until I learned this!

In general, I have found that the Buy-It-Now listings are fairly close to what they will sell for. I fill in all my vintage from Ebay. The prices are stupid high on Replacements. Buy-It-Now is all that I will shop. I do not like bidding. Read the listing carefully and look at all photos after you enlarge them. Also, I check the buyer rating. Don't forget to check the shipping cost. You can "watch" an item to see if the price drops. Yes, I also look at the sold listings, but you have to compare the same listing. A complete set in mint condition is worth more than one missing a piece or scratched. Be sure to only buy if they post a good picture of the back of the item. I have only been disappointed one time and that was for a $3 magazine.

bought Corelle. And really like them. However the edges are roughing up a bit which I suspect is from the dishwasher. It's the dishwasher. I had Corelle in my old kitchen with no dishwasher. Wasn't until we remodeled and I started putting them in the DW that the edges started to deteriorate. Btw, I use powder. Bought new Corelle and now hand wash only.

Thanks Etta. Yep when I am able to those window treatments will be torn down and replaced by maybe Roman Shades. The sides of the table are a dark brown like a cappuccino as most of my furniture in the condo. I know what u mean about black dinnerware. The set was given to us to use until we got something we liked. We also have the marble look ceramic tile. Having trouble finding placemats small enough to fit six place settings on the table. Any ideas u may have?
