I drank too much lemon juice. I over did it. One say I felt something moving up the side of both of my ears.i didn't know what it was, later, inside the back of my mouth was red. I now just started having pain every now and then in both ears....but not much. I have changed doctors 3 times. I gargle twice a day with the baking soda and salt solution. I have had the camera put down my throat and everything was okay. I need some advice. I've been this way now for a year and a half. I need heip. I later went to another doctor and had the camera put down my throat a second time by a different doctor about 5 months ago and he said my throat was not red, but I didn't go back to him. I need advice. The doctor I am with now said my ears look fine.

Hi Patrick: Some dentists has a test for HPV (human pap. virus) that cause throat cancer for $20 to $40, but one has to ask the dentist for it. I honestly hope yours is NOT throat cancer. That virus doesn't show up until 20 years later in some people, and it's the WORST case of throat cancer. My best wishes to you, I'll be praying for your health.

Hi nolongernewyork, I developed fibromyalgia just as I was starting perimenopause. It makes me wonder if the two are VERY interconnected. I'm 57 and haven't had a period in 3 years, but have TONS of muscle and joint aches. I had horrible GERD and IBS during perimenopause, but fortunately, it has calmed down. One thing I learned was that people who are treated for h. pylori, actually can develop alot of heartburn after the treatment. I think there's something about having that infection that keeps you from having heartburn. I'm also learning that our GI tracts are extremely important to our well being. Do a search on healing your GI tract naturally, and you'll learn lots about it. Make a food diary and see if you have developed some intolerances to certain foods. I know I can't eat much dairy anymore. Try to cut down on your carbs and especially sugar. I've heard one theory that GERD is caused by a diet of too many carbs. When we eat more than we can digest, it ferments and leads to GERD. And caffeine can make alot of your pain and GI problems worse. I think its a good thing to look up treatment for fibromyalgia, because perimenopause can have symptoms just like it. Gosh......your plate is sooooooo full!! I'm sure you hadn't planned on raising your 3 kids by yourself. Hang in there!

Yep, was diagnosed with GERD a few years ago. First tried me on Protonix, it didn't work very good for me. I finally wound up on Nexium which helped me much more. However, the Doc also diagnosed me with "spastic colon" and prescribed Hyoscyamine o.125mg. My life saver as it turned out. Yes, I was having severe back pain. Thought a few times that I was having a heart attack. The symptoms are so similar. Now I'm down to a Nexium a every other night and a Hyoscymine as needed. What I have noticed that sets me off, other than an emotional upset, is raw onion. I guess everyone is different. Good luck in finding what you need to get it under control.

I had GERD most of my life, and in the end I would even get heartburn from a drink of water. I woke up in the night with acid in my mouth. Finally, I told my gastro doctor that I couldn't take it any more. He sent me to see a specialist at the Mayo clinic in Jacksonville, FL, and he performed a laproscopic procedure that gave me a new tight valve to keep the stomach acid where it belonged; in the stomach. That was over ten years ago, and I have never had heartburn or indigestion since then. I recommend going to a good gastro doctor and asking him about this procedure which is called lapro nissen fundoplication.

If the cupcake tins idea doesn’t work, you could just split the food up into portions to control its intake. That’s what I do when I know my dog is really hungry. I’ll give her a portion, wait a bit and then give her the rest 30 minutes to an hour later. I used to feed her Canidae, it’s a really good food. I don’t remember why I switched, but the food I feed her now is Dr. Tim’s. He’s a Vet in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. His food doesn’t have a lot of plant proteins in it, which really bothered my dogs stomach. He has both grain free as well as a kibble with good grains in it. I also like that he had a Nutritionalist for dogs help him to develop all the recipes, It’s not available in stores, but Chewy sells it. If your dog has done well on the Canidae though, slowing it’s food intake may be all that’s necessary to control it. Another cause of gerd as well is over feeding. The portions suggested on the bags is (according to my Vet) usually too much for the dog. The better brands of food are heavier and more filling so the Vet said I should only be feeding my Lab 1 cup mixed with a little soft food in the morning and 1 cup mixed with a little soft food for dinner and that’s it. He even gave me a cup to use to be sure it was measured right. It‘s helped to control her discomfort as well as her weight.
