So pleased to see Angelica Gigias bloom!

I bought two AGs in early May 2014. They stayed in their plastic pots for too long and eventually I planted them too close together in a too shady location. They survived the winter and their foliage has been healthy and large all this year but I had resigned myself to not seeing any flower given the lack of sun. But low and behold I came across this today:

(Yes those are two distinct AG plants intertwined with each other :( )

It was strange to see so many bees and such on this flower given its shady location...not used to seeing pollinators in the dark ;).

(I understand this is a biennial plant. So might I not see anything next season (I am never quite sure how these biennial things work))
