From iPhone 4 to 6s or 7?
Comments (5)Given the amount of time you keep phones (which is remarkable), I would suggest you get the 7 which is already one model behind the current one. Keep in mind that Apple only builds their new OS's to go a few models back which means your older devices don't get the new updates and security patches. That means your devices and any data on them are more susceptible to vulnerabilities. That alone is enough for me to suggest the newer model. Beyond that, the 7 will have better specs, and more space to store your data so 8 years from now when you're looking for a newer iPhone 14 or whatever model will be out, it will be just a bit closer to updated specs. They aren't crazy different in specs, and would be a different conversation if you replaced every few years, but 8. If you're looking for the best deal on the phones, wait until September when the next models come out and the 7 will be even cheaper. But, either way, you're getting your money's worth...See MoreiPhone 6s replacement screen
Comments (5)No reason to feel like a chump. You can still get decent work done by a 3rd party, but it wont be with oem glass, and thusly wont be quite as good. As much as I dislike Apple, their hardware had always been top notch. Their glass has always been overly fragile though imho, I see a lot of busted displays every day and we only allow our employees to get fixed through Apple because we you never know which repair shop to trust, or the quality of their displays. And yes bossy, you seemed to be destined to use a quality case for your phone :) . Dont necessarily need to be an otterbox case (they are of great quality though), just make sure to use a case that provides great protection in the corners, and the screen. Your phone or screen protector should not be the first thing to contact a surface if dropped on its face. Best of luck to your current screen....See MoreLooking to upgrade my iPhone 6 - anyone have the XS? 8?
Comments (16)Sue - Your Frenchies would be adorable even if photographed through cheesecloth. I wonder if your DH has the XR, it's only slightly larger than the XS. The XS is 5.8, the XR is 6.1 and the SX max is 6.5 The sales associate said the 2 main differences is the XS has a dual rear camera while the XR has one, and they have different displays. I'm not sure I could discern the difference. Maddie - that's a good point. When I go back I'll have to hold it like I'm talking on it. I don't use my phone for very long periods of time the way my kids do and the earphones would be helpful. And to make this even more confusing for me - my son just gave me an iWatch - it's the series 4 with cellular. Verizon had a special offer for 2 weeks - buy one iWatch and get a second one for half price. It was a wonderful gift, especially since DH has had several health scares and now he can reach me even if I'm in the pool at the gym ----but now it means I have to learn how to use 2 new pieces of technology. The only thing that would be worse would be if I had to get a new car too....See MoreA question about iPhones
Comments (17)Not certain what it is called but when I activate mine and then flip to the very first screen at the bottom is a small graft that shows how much time I spent on the various apps. You might look there to see what shows the most time. If it is only charged to 86% and lose 30% in 5 minutes perhaps charging to 100% then seeing how fast it drops. It may also be that the time spent is longer than you think you were on fb. I can start reading what friends and groups I am on while drinking a cup of coffee only to realize I have drunk the whole cup and time has passed....See Morejane__ny
